This was easily one of the best restaurants with the best service I have ever been to. Our server was extremely attentive, answered all our questions and gave recommendations on what to get. We were the first ones in the door when they opened at 4 and the place filled up quick!
Dessert- strawberry cake, it was out of this world. My son is NOT a cake person at all and rated it an 8. The cake slices are so thick but it was very moist, not too sweet.
Appetizer- giant pretzel . The pretzel was very good, fresh flaky sea salt and the beer cheese was phenomenal.
Entrees-dozen mild wings. The flavoring was perfect and they were decent size wings.
Cheesesteak- softest roll I’ve ever ate, shaved steak was perfect and cheese made it even better.
We will definitely be going again soon!

Stopped here on the way home from worlds end state park on Halloween. Servers were great. Prices were good for the amount and quality. I loved the Caramel apple drink. It was the best I have ever had. The tequila shrimp was amazing. Service was so fast. Will come back

Silver Thorn is our favorite restaurant. This place has excellent food and a menu with enough variety to make it an adventure. Come here if you want a nice meal a that is quite superior to the oh-so-common tavern fare. Nevertheless, the burgers here are tops. We have always had outstanding service, and the wait staff is engaging and enjoyable to interact with. We always ask for Krista (there are two waitresses named Krista!) and we have fun with the banter and humor of the moment.

The lady who wrote the review about the raw chicken 6 years ago is now my wife and we came back to give it a try. After 6 years they’re still not cooking their meat. I ordered this steak medium and this is clearly very rare. They did take the steak back and threw it back on the grill until is was cooked longer. This steak was to come with a salad, I never received a salad even after asking for it. My wife had ordered fries with her meal and she received chips instead. Again we had to ask for the fries. Our waitress did try her best to make things right but for $100 you would think it would be a little better quality.

My partner randomly picked this as our place to stop and eat as we were passing through this town and we were pleasantly surprised. The whole place is very clean and neat and the food is delicious and came very quickly. The staff was welcoming and happy to chat with us. It was a great experience. The only “issue” we had was not really even an issue, we first thought they were closed because the “open” sign out front wasn’t on.

We live in Williamsport Pa. We drove to Hughesville last night for dinner with family members. Our food excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable. But the best part of this experience was our waitress. She was excited to serve us, first rate in checking in on us, and treated us like royalty. I don’t recall her name but she was a tall, skinny, blonde that smiled ear to ear.. We will come back!
