Bartender was friendly and engaging with his customers. Crab cake and fries were served hot. Crab cake had some lump Crab meat in it. Tasted very good. It was nice to hear the Pianoman to play accompaniment with the music videos.

My wife & I decided to stop at Silver Strings on date night after a show we attended in the area, we arrived around 12:15am. Surprisingly it was very vibrant inside. There was a gentleman playing the piano covering 90’s R&B & Pop records with a corresponding projection screen of the original music video of the song he was playing, I thought that was pretty nice. The setting was very warm & relaxing giving a private lounge vibe. Candles were lit on every table and across the bar. Upon being seated our servant was swift with getting us menus water & drinks. I was very happy to know the kitchen was open for business. We ordered light because it was after midnight & we had a few drinks to say the least. Our meal came at a pretty reasonable time considering that people were doing takeout orders and dining in. Our food was hot & delicious. What I like most is the atmosphere, the people different walks of life all enjoying the same thing, music, food, drinks & smiles. In closing I was very happy with my visit at Silver Strings, I stopped in on a humble and found me a new spot. I will be back

Solid 3 stars is the conclusion. There are elements that deserve 5 stars (ambiance, decor, vibe) and some that deserve 1. Nothing is truly atrocious but what a weird place this is. We stopped by (this time and last) to grab a bite and drink before a show at the Fillmore (like most other patrons there at that time). This time as the time of our previous visit the place is perplexingly empty (for 7 pm on a Friday). Service is fine but distinctly odd. Friendly and not slow per se but also “slightly off”. We had burgers last time (decent) and ordered the bartender recommended wings and broccoli balls appetizers this time. The chicken wings (quantity 7?!) were dry, overfried, came heavily sauced and were garnished with ONE baby carrot sliced into 4ths, half a pale celery stick (sliced into 4ths) and a tired orange/strawberry slice combo reminiscent of last weekend’s brunch plus a 1/3rd filled dressing/sauce receptacle (ranch?). Broccoli balls took a bit longer but were surprisingly fresh and chock full of real broccoli, not too heavy and expertly fried. This visit as the last time we were not given napkins or silverware and pilfered utensils from set (empty) tables of which there were plenty. This place seems so cool. The artwork, bar, lovely spirits selection and just overall chill vibe should make this place an easy default stop before nearby show. It just kinda isn’t.

The bartender was very friendly. The cook did a spectacular job. I loved the homemade aioli that went great with the burger and fries. The chocolate mousse cake was rich and yummy. I came on July 31st. I’m definitely coming here very soon. My favorite burger so far btw….that’s coming from a former Five Guys employee. I had an amazing night! Thank you so much Silver Strings!

If you’re looking for live music, great drinks, and a cool, laid-back crowd, Silver Strings is the place! I went on 2 weeks ago on a Friday night and was blown away by the talent and energy in the room. The live band was amazing!!! The bartenders know how to pour a proper cocktail, and the wings were on point. It has that perfect mix of upscale and relaxed plus you can dress up or keep it casual. It’s a hidden gem in the city that deserves way more attention.

The food is good, not amazing, but good. The staff are very accommodating though, which makes up for the food being okay. The drinks however, are great! If you’re going for happy hour, I highly recommend!

We celebrated my friend’s 24th birthday at Silver Strings Bar in Silver Spring, and it was absolutely amazing! The vibe was perfect, great music, a stylish atmosphere, and just the right energy for a birthday night out. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were on point. They made sure we were taken care of the entire night. There was plenty of space to dance, chill, and just enjoy the night with good people. If you’re looking for a cool spot to throw a birthday party or just have a fun night out, I highly recommend Silver Strings. We’ll definitely be back!

I really love this place and I hope more people will discover it soon. The menu is not large, but everything is really good. I especially love their crab cakes. Also really like the berry cobbler they were serving the last time we went in — see the photo. The atmosphere here is not like any other place in Silver Spring, lovely spot for date night or to meet and catch up with a friend. More ambiance than a lot of the other places near by. How can you NOT love a place that has classic movies on the TVs over the bar instead of sports? They often have live music, including jazz. Great service, too. A great addition to the Silver Spring restaurant scene.

I found flies, fruit flies, and mosquitoes in my drink the bartender made me a smoked drink which was absolutely amazing…. Untill I got to the bottom of it and saw all these disgusting things. I showed the bartender and he apologized. I had him make me another one with different ingredients this time to make sure I didn’t get any flies that were in the bottles and sure enough I got halfway through this drink and saw the same amount of insects floating around in my drink. I asked to speak to the manager but the bartender said there was no manager at this place but I could speak to the owner (chef) directly. Long story short, the owner “Zed” ended up speaking very nasty to me and ended up asking me to leave. I will never forget my experience at this place. The only person who made it bearable which was the super friendly bartender that told me the truth about the place
