My friend and I went for celebratory cocktails on a Saturday eve around 5:30. The vibes were on point and the music was audible but we were still able to have a conversation.
If you like pistachio do yourself a favor and try the pistachio martini. One of the best dessert cocktails I have had and the pistachio rim was out of control (who doesn’t like a rim .) I’ve only been once before to this cocktail bar and can’t wait to go again and try more of their drinks. The bartender was also very friendly and hospitable- thank you Cody!
Also the owners of Taj and Silver street are amazing and do so much for the community so anyone who gives them a one start review…well I would give them a one star review as a human!

The custom cocktails here are amazing creative, innovative flavors that you don’t find just anywhere. Every drink feels thoughtfully crafted and unique. The vibe is super chill and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day of work. The plants throughout the space give it a fresh, cozy, almost tropical atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re looking to relax or just have a good time with friends, this spot delivers every time. I definitely recommend this if you are in the area.

Silver Street by Taj is easily one of the best bar and restaurant spots in Portland. If you especially want to try Indian-style cocktails, mocktails, and food with a unique Indian touch, this place is a must visit.
The vibe is perfect for relaxing and hanging out, especially on weekends. It’s a great spot to enjoy good drinks, flavorful food, and a lively atmosphere with friends.

Nicole was our server and she was great! The place is a little Jem in the middle of DT Portland! After a while I found a place that is actually has priced there drinks so reasonable! They have little snacks and a few meals by 12 30!!!! Everyone needs to check this spot out!!

Beautiful decor and I loved the ambience! The pani puri was delicious and full of flavor.
However, the cocktails felt like a missed opportunity. With a name like “Taj,” I was hoping for more Indian-inspired creativity or fusion flavors. The drinks were decent, but nothing unique. I was really hoping for some elevated cocktails with paan/lychee/mango etc touches.

He knew exactly what we wanted— it was like he read our spirits as well as he served them. Every offering was a masterpiece, balanced and magical, and every interaction left me feeling seen, celebrated, and just a little bit happier.
The view from the window is unreal — stars overhead, city lights twinkling below, cars passing by and laughter echoing through the breeze — but it was Cody who truly made it unforgettable. His energy, his charm, his wit, his vibes and his effortless way of making everyone feel like the main character… pure Taj magic.

I went here on a whim, as I don’t typically go out. However, the butter chicken was phenomenal as well as the drinks being delicious! I will definitely be returning, and I can’t recommend this enough!

As a cocktail bar this place is cozy, fun, and affordable. Drinks are great, lots of options to try, a lot of house infusions, and a welcoming place to hangout.
The food here makes sense. The location is small. The emphasis of the entire place is a cocktail bar with some small tastes of the Taj we all know and love. The expectation should be on the cocktails and not the food, the food is just an added plus!! I can’t imagine what it takes every day for them to logistically prep the food and be able to have anything available here. Must take a lot of work.
I always know where to go when I want the full menu, the location in South Portland! What a fun date spot.
