“Dinner with the family at Silver Star on Ellerbe Road yesterday was excellent! The Western decor and country music playing set a perfect tone – not too loud, so we could enjoy our conversations. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was great as always! If you haven’t tried the Au Gratin potatoes yet, they’re a must! We can’t wait to come back.”

My coworkers and I went for our Christmas party. The service was very nice Amber was our waitress and she was very nice and friendly she was very informative about the menu. She had a great sense of humor that made the visit fun and pleasant. The food was very delicious especially the potatoes. The best I ever had EVER.

Started out strong with delicious fried pickles and bbq nachos. Our specialty drinks were delicious. Then I received my expensive, New York Strip steak med/med well instead of med rare. If you are going to super charge for steak, you better get it right the first time. No, I didn’t send it back or get another, we were not waiting around longer. Do better!

Fantastic place for dinner and a drink! Well rounded menu, the Mahi Mahi was excellent and the au gratin potatoes lived up to the hype! It was relatively busy while we were there and the service was still excellent.

Visited Silver Star Grille yesterday and happy we chose this place for lunch. It’s located in the shopping center by Kroger Food Store. We were greeted upon entry and seated right away. The server/waiter was very attentive to our needs during our time. Loved the Christmas themed decor outside/inside this location and the ambiance. Restrooms were clean and appreciated the single vs open with stalls.
We started with the 3 dip and chips for an appetizer. Had cobb and raspberry pecan salad with grilled chicken for our meal. The greens, vegetables and fruit were farm fresh and chicken was marinated straight off the grill not the Tyson pre-packaged. Very delicious and appreciative.
Thank you for a great visit at your location. We will be back when visiting Shreveport. If you’re on the fence about visiting this location, don’t be or you’re regret not coming here.

Spinach and artichoke dip with chips was good but needed a lil seasoning and we tried the Angus burger w bacon and chopped BBQ, it was ok. Our side was onion rings. (They also needed seasoning)

Took my wife here on 8-16-2023 to celebrate her birthday. She was excited to go because we had such a great time on our first visit that she had confidence that this time would be even better because it was her birthday. Sadly, this was not the case. Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess proceeded to sit us right by the kitchen when there were better seating options. My wife had to point this out, and we were moved to a better seating area.
Once seated, our server took our drink orders and appetizer order and returned quickly with our drinks. This is where the night took its dramatic turn. The glass that my wife’s drink was served in cut her top lip, and the server went and got one of the managers on duty.
His name was Mario and when he was informed of the chip in the glass he stated that the glass should have never been used and then asked if my wife lip was bleeding, and asked if we had ordered our meals. He then asked if we were going to leave. He replaced my wife’s drink, but she was too scared/ mad to drink it because of how he handled the situation. My wife decided to stay, but not once did Mario ever return to check on my wife or to see if our meals were cooked to our satisfaction.
So it’s with a heavy heart that my wife and I have to find another place for us to dine. We TRULY thought that we had found our needle in the haystack, but due to poor management skills, we’ll have to say farewell. We even watched as others were celebrating their birthday with the restaurants signature sparkler in the ice cream dish.

How did I miss this place. I am not sure about the food… but the old fashioned they made is probably one among the best that I had in a long time. The silky taste is hard to beat.. I loved it and will be a new bench mark for reference !!

Wasn’t thrilled about my brisket nachos. A creamy cheese should be used because that cheap shredded cheese was too greasy and too freaking hard. I had more hard, greasy cheese than I had brisket! The bottom of my plate had so much grease on it. I paid $19 just to throw my to go plate in the trash. My lemon drop was good. $75 ticket was very disappointing and a $10 tip already included. No I’m good on Silver Star. My mother enjoyed her rib plate. She came for a steak but steaks were $50/60, she had some filet mignon in the freezer cheaper than that. We weren’t too comfortable/happy.
