Went with my family and ordered pizza, Philly cheesesteak on a wrap and a delicious Darien salad. Took a little bit to get our food, but it was delicious. Could use some more canned beverage options to go with pizza specials. Not sure if the place is under new management cause I’ve seen a few new faces and have been going there for years, but the food quality is still amazing. Definitely my go-to spot for fresh and consistently well-made food. Love Silver Sands!

I really liked the wide variety of crust thickness options and toppings, there’s something for everyone. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. OMG was this place above our expectations when walking in the door! My husband asked a regular how the food was and he said “excellent, everything here is so good.” He wasn’t wrong. The pizza had a nice crunch to the crust and not soggy at all, it had the perfect amount of toppings, and it reheated so well that I need her crust recipe to try and replicate it in my outdoor pizza oven. We will be stopping in here every time we are in the area (we are from Vermont). She brought out garlic knots for the table and they had a lot of flavor and dipping sauce. SO DAMN GOOD, EAT HERE PEOPLE!!

I heard about this place from a friend and decided to try it out with my kids and friends. We attended one of the Little Chef Pizza days for Kids. I can confidently tell you that it was AMAZING!!!!! The kids had so much fun and i know they’ll continue to talk about it for a loooong time. I want to specially thank the staff at Silver Sands Pizza especially Alyssa and Jesus who worked with the kids to create their masterpiece pizzas. I can’t thank you all enough for a great time both for the kids and we the parents. I highly recommend you take out time and take your kids for this great experience whenever you can. They’ll thank you like mine are doing now. lol

I believe in leaving honest reviews, and I’m not cutting this one short just because of hype or a recommendation. I ordered a six-piece garlic Parmesan chicken wings and a pepperoni Sicilian pizza.
The wings were dry and had very little garlic Parmesan flavor. The pizza looked great , the cheese and pepperoni were well melted and visually appealing , but the crust told a different story. The end crust was extremely hard to chew, almost stale, and if someone had sensitive or bad teeth, it could have been a real problem. I don’t enjoy having to put that much effort into chewing crust.
It felt like the pizza had either been sitting out for a while or was lacking in quality ingredients. I’m not writing this to discourage anyone from visiting, but rather in the hope that the owners see this and can address these issues for future orders.

Ordered pizza & wings via phone for delivery. Customer service was good. Delivery time was good. Pizza could have arrived hotter. The person who took the order suggested Garlic Parm wings but, if I am in town again I’ll try BBQ or regular hot wings instead. As the Garlic Parm wings were soggy. Over all the meal was filling.

We have been going to Silver Sands in Wallingford for a long time for their food and their customer service. However, I wanted to write a review today because their customer service proved to be top notch. They had a problem with their online ordering system and our order was placed twice. They were quick to fix the problem and super attentive and apologetic. Sandy and Alyssa were great with the confusing situation. We will continue to be back as their food is delicious, but deeply appreciate their great service. Highly recommend them.

I’ve stopped into silver sands twice and each time I’ve been so happy with the pizza. Not only is the flavor good but it’s nice and thin how we like it and not overly saucy! Definitely recommend. The staff is also very kind and the place is nice and clean! They even have little games on the tables for the kiddos.

We ordered a large cheese pizza, the zucchini fries and a greek salad with pesto chicken. Everything came out amazing! The lady working was extremely kind and the portions were very good we were stuffed with leftovers! Definitely recommend
