ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Hands-down the best homestyle cooking I’ve ever had in my life. I travel the country for work, I’ve eaten in almost every state/city (mostly fine dining )and it’s been a very long time since I’ve been blown away by a restaurant.
When traveling through Nashville, I had to try some catfish before I left. The flavors of everything is overwhelming. Portion size for the price can’t be beat.
-Best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had!
-Best green beans I’ve ever had
-Best fried fish I’ve ever had
100% family owned and operated. The team is beyond friendly and showed genuine southern hospitality.
I can’t wait to come back next time. I’m in Nashville!

I usually enjoy eating here but my son went and picked up an oxtail plate that cost $27 only to have gotten fat. I tried to call but the phone went to voicemail and it was full. This is horrible he threw it away.

Loved this so much! If you know what soul food is and you enjoy it, you will love this place. If you just know the words soul food and want to try it out, it may not be for you…and that’s ok. I loved it so much and will come back when I’m in town again. I had the oxtails, green beans, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese and a piece of hot water cornbread. Fantastic! This place has such good vibes and everyone is so lovely. You may have to wait a while, but just factor that in. Don’t go in in a hurry. Good things take time, ya know?

I had an awesome experience at Silver Sands. The food was amazing, the service was even better (if you can imagine!) My husband was an only person craving coffee out of a 30 person line, and Ms. Sophie made sure to accommodate him with a new pot. I can’t wait to dine in again!

I tried the baked chicken, Mac & Cheese, and collard greens. The chicken was incredible juicy and seasoned to perfection. The Mac & cheese and collards – straight out of grandma’s kitchen. The atmosphere was excellent if you enjoy soul / R&B music. I can’t wait to go back.

Good food! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the wait. The foods already done however you still have to wait to pay for it. They need a better process on how the customer receives the food. We waited over an hour for food that was already cooked…

I was told to try this soul food restaurant out. My first time coming and sadly I will not return . I ordered two plates priced at around 40 bucks total. The beef tips were so spicy along with my sides, Mac and cheese and Lima beans . My daughter ordered two plates as well and her cabbage / squash were really good. I would have really enjoyed the food if it wasn’t too spicy and overly seasoned. Also wish there was a better method to order and cash out instead of getting in the first line for food then another line to cashout

This was my first time here. The soul food choices were of a good variety. We went pig style and got pigs feet and hog maws, turnip greens, white beans, sweet potatoes, and hot water cornbread. I must say with the exception of the sweet potatoes, the food was EXCELLENT! It reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking in the country. We ate in the car because the smell was too tempting to wait. We were extremely satisfied. The only thing was the sweet potatoes was too runny. The flavor was good and on point but it was like an uncooked pie consistency. We definitely will be back. We are planning at least 1-2 times a month. Only because the prices are a bit much for one meat & 2 veggies at $13-14. I also advise to get there right at opening to avoid waiting in line. This is a MUST stop if you want traditional real soul food.
