On March 5, 2026, I placed an order through GrubHub for two 4-wing baskets with fries and a chicken cheesesteak combo. The first order was picked up and delivered quickly, but when I went to the door, the bag had someone else’s name on it and contained completely different items (a shrimp quesadilla and shrimp cheesesteak). I immediately contacted GrubHub, and while they did process a refund, it took about 10 days to receive the money back.
Since it was already a little after 9 PM and I wanted something quick, I unfortunately decided to reorder from the same restaurant. This second order arrived about an hour later. When I opened the food, the wings looked like they had been cooked in old grease and the fries were extremely cold—honestly, the entire meal was cold and unappetizing.
At this point, I had spent $55.61 on the first order and another $40 on the second (even with a discount), yet I still had to make my own food at home.
I called the restaurant directly to try to resolve the issue because reporting problems through Grubhub can sometimes feel like a hassle. The person who answered the phone asked me to send a photo of the wings. After I did, she told me that’s “just how they make them,” which I know isn’t accurate because I’ve ordered from this restaurant for years both in person and through delivery.
When I spoke with the manager, she offered to remake the order. However, by that point, I had already lost confidence in the food quality, especially since this wasn’t the first time the wings had tasted like they were cooked in old grease when ordering delivery. Interestingly, this has never been an issue when ordering in person.
Overall, this experience cost me nearly $100 and left me without a proper meal. Unfortunately, because of how the situation was handled and the quality of the food, this will be my last time ordering from this restaurant and using GrubHub for delivery.
Edit: Now the “owner” has replied with an automated response to my review. And I state that it’s automatic because they weren’t trying to reconcile the situation last night but now they want me to reach back out. That’s not happening. I don’t want any food from them anymore.
The food arrived in a timely manner and was really very good overall. I really enjoyed the cheese steak sub and it was prepared to my liking. The flavor was great and it was loaded with meat and cheese.
When ordering, I was confused about the sides… Apparently the cheese steak comes with fries, but they are also offered as a “combo”. I did not realize they were included and ended up ordering a “combo” with soda and fries. So, I ended up with double fries. (For an extra $5 or so). Also in the combo was a “20 oz drink” which I assumed was a bottle, but was a fountain drink… meh.
The fries in the container with the sandwich were crisp, the others in the “side” container were soggy. The mozzarella sticks were very flavorful, but like many places, not cooked long enough to be gooey. The sauce was great too.
Overall, pretty good. I would definitely order again.
EDIT (5 days later) I have already ordered again! This time the very tasty shrimp Alfredo with gobs of noodles and 6 large fresh shrimp! It was so good. I also ordered the Cream of Crab soup. Again, delicious, crab chunks of all sizes, some were huge! Very tasty. And I ordered a bread pudding to try out and it was good as well… (Added more pics!) Thanks SM2!
