Absolutely the worst meal I’ve ever had from here. Ordered the steamed chicken and vegetables with brown rice and a side of garlic sauce. Received white rice and some type of mystery sauce, which was not garlic sauce. Eggroll soggy.. Won’t be going back

I have been a long time customer for over 30years when the original owner first opened, Linda and George. They since sold it to their relative who have successfully destroyed the business. Firstly they now charge $1 for duck sauce or soy sauce on delivery orders even at my last order of $54.00. Wow! Secondly and most importantly the food has become subpar to what it used to be and they seem very aloof about any complaint. I will never ever go back there nor recommend this place.

Since the new owners took over.
The pork Fried Rice is so Blaine, and for some reason has a lot of onions. The crab rangoon had nothing inside of them. It used to be my favorite Chinese place now I have to find another one.

This place has taken a dive since the Chen’s sold or passed it on to whoever else. The food is generally poorly cooked or just wrong. They get angry about any substitute or change. Basically they say no, or they do it to a degree that the food is disgusting. They charge for EVERY tiny thing. They’re borderline rude on the phone if you aren’t exceptionally ready for the order. They were my favorite for 20 years growing up. Now it’s greasy, wet, overcooked junk. Bums me out. I try it every so often hoping, but no. Go to gourmet Chinese in point beach area. They’re at least kind and won’t argue if you ask for no vegetables for a picky eater.
Still can’t understand the lower quality and inconsistency. I go elsewhere now when I can.

They used to be the best in town but since they were taken over by new owners it’s TERRIBLE. I hope the owners watch Facebook because there are tons of threads about how much it was loved before and is now the food is horrible. Silver Lake owners – you purchased a restaurant with a great following and ruined it by introducing cheap ingredients and small portions, everything tastes freezer burned or over cooked and don’t order anything with shrimp or seafood, I got shrimp lo mein that had MAYBE 3 tiny tiny shrimp #shame

The worse Chinese food I have ever eaten. I ordered Wonton soup and shrimp with lobster sauce. Completely tasteless. Yellow rice is served instead of pork fried rice which I ordered. I threw the entire meal out including the soup. The strangest tasting shrimp with lobster sauce I’ve ever have.

I used silver lake kitchen to cater a birthday celebration. I spoke back and forth with Linda while
Placing our order. She was a absolute pleasure to deal with . The food was delivered in time , the order was 100% correct and the food came hot and tasted great. She even sent a birthday card/gift for the birthday girl. It really was perfect ,
I will be recommending them to everyone I know !

Moved to Point 5 years ago and my wife and I did a lot of trial and error before finding Silverlake Kitchen. Best Chinese is Point Pleasant and we order here regularly. Never have been disappointed…

I will never order from this place again and actually if I had the chance, I would have burn the money to warm me up. It was more useful. The shrimp with lobster sauce is actually a very smelly jelly soup, the chicken was so chewy and sweet. The rice wasn’t cooked all the way and the noodles were smelly. That was the worth experience I have ever had with Chinese. Not to lie, egg rolls were edible. But 62 dollars went to the waste.
