My friend and I was looking for place to have some lunch. You know, somewhere different. So I looked on the map, and I typed and Silver Lake Inn, and they also have. I saw that they serve breakfast, but we went at about 11 PM or so. Well, that’s the time they opened and we went about 11:40, we got there. Nice and quiet. You know a couple of customers there and uh, so so I menu, order some burgers and everything was fresh and the owner was there and talk with us a little bit. Everything was nice full table jukebox. You know the whole 9. It was a bar restaurant, uh, seating capacity. Not so much again. More of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant, but it was good food and we enjoyed ourselves. We conversate, you know, watch the little sports on television, at least I was watching my friend. She was watching her phone. You know how that goes, you know? He wants you pick up your phone and look at it. Time just goes by, but that’s a different story about phones. Annie, who order burger’s fries wings? Some onion rings, they were nice and crispy and good. Everything was fresh as I’ve mentioned. Yeah, it was a good time for both of us. We spent less than $40 for the 2 of us. Order a ton of food, so the place is very reasonable. If you want to get out and have a nice quick meal. I’ll post the address for ya. And hopefully someone with some computer experience, drop by and uh, if they need a job, give them a helping hand ’cause they look, they’re looking for a good IT guy or gal. Stopped in for lunch on our way through the area. Had the lunch special, which was meat loaf with loaded mashed potatoes for $6. It was delicious and a great value. Friend had the hot beef sandwich which was top notch, the dipping sauce was flavorful and not too salty. Our bartender was really friendly and the locals in the bar were nice and talkative. Great spot for stiff cheap drink, good food and a friendly atmosphere

A couple of their bartenders are great. A couple are not. And it seems the best bartenders don’t last long here. The last one we had was snooty and not friendly. Wings are really good. Atmosphere is nice, but if your service sucks… You don’t enjoy it as much.

On a road-trip with the buddies from Milwaukee to Janesville and this was the type of place you want to stop in the winter. Classic Wisconsin back-bar and a fun group of people in there. BIG real wood burning fireplace takes up the wall and really warms the place up (not to mention the smell taking you deep in the woods 🙂 )
