My wife was craving some Chinese food, our regular place was closed so we thought we’d try Silver Dragon. We previously ordered from here before and it was ok, so we gave this place another try.
The food was hot and ready when we picked it up. We were looking forward to eating on the drive home. It didn’t take long to see that we made a mistake. The temperature of the food was the only good part, the rest, not so much. I have attached photos of tge egg rolls, can’t say I’ve ever seen them prepared like this !! They were very dry along with the fried rice. The beef chop suey and sweet and sour pork were both saturated in sauce making them very soggy. The dry wontons were very thin with not much filling. The sweet and sour sauce that accompanied them was tasty.

I ordered Chicken Chow Mien and shrimp. The chow mien was basically wet noodles with a bit of soy sauce and a few shredded pieces of chicken without sauce. There was absolutely no flavour to this dish. The deep fried shrimp was so greasy it was barely edible. Won’t be ordering here again.

I feel bad for sharing this review but I’d be doing a disservice if I didn’t. This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. I ordered steamed rice, sweet and sour pork, and almond chicken. Everything had a weird taste – almost like chemicals, ESPECIALLY the sweet and sour pork. I ate maybe 2 pieces and instantly had a sick stomach. The almond chicken was also extremely slimy and undercooked. I expressed how I felt to the staff and was still charged full price without having eaten the food.

Went for their Sunday Smorgasbord. There was wonton soup sitting on warm in a crock pot, with roughly 12 items in the barely there steam cart. Not sure if every Sunday the menu is different but there was fried rice, chow mein noodles, chicken wings, sweet and sour pork (was not red but light brown in colour), blackbean beef, Ginger beef, Chili shrimp, fried shrimp, sauteed veggies, can’t seem to remember the last few items. The dessert consisted of jello (nice to see pineapple flavour), strawberry and cantaloupe, and of course fortune cookies. I wouldn’t call it authentic Chinese food, more westernized. Run by a family, with the wife being the main cook in the back, as she was coming in and out to check on the buffet food. Food was mediocre, only giving it 3 stars as we enjoyed the old 90s feel of having a Smorgasbord dinner with the family.

Save yourself the money and stomach ache. The food is disgusting. War Wonton is flavourless, I asked for SOFT veggies they are rock hard. And the pink juice like S&S tastes off, like gone bad but they added more and stirred. Spoke to a lady who claims she is owner.. she brushed me off saying “oh best in town”. I think she meant oldest oil in town, never cleaned!!

Had a good experience with the first order we placed a couple of months ago. Food arrived quickly and was good. I’ve had better but it was ok. Fast forward to today. Ordered online and the estimated delivery time was about half an hour. One hour later and no food.
Called to cancel the order and hung up. Driver buzzed to come up to deliver and the food seemed hot so I accepted it mostly because we were starving. To sum it up the food was inedible and the leftovers are going in the garbage!

“Terrible” is my feedback to describe this place. I would advise choosing KW Garden on King George since it offers a bigger serving, tastes better, is less expensive, and offers an extra 10% discount for pickup

I order an Egg Roll, an Skewer, Onion Cakes and Pan Fried Dumplings for dinner………………..The food was sooo gross, they all had a weird smell to it. I almost threw up.
The Egg Rolls looks like a deep fried donut…??? And it had a Sour taste to it, I’m sure it had gone bad.
Onion Cakes tasted like Korean Pancake without any seafood. It was okayish.
Pan Fried Dumplings smelled like the dish pit, they Reeks. They were drenched in milky yellowish oil. I took a bite and threw them out…

The food is not authentic Chinese food and definitely aren’t freshly made.
