Best Bar in Butte Montana. It’s like a time capsule. Brian the owner and his Wife Melissa are something of a relic themselves. You can feel every song that’s ever been sung and every instrument that’s ever been played when you sit on a stool and enjoy the company of friends and strangers alike. Wednesdays Open Mic Nights are the best. I feel welcomed and appreciated whenever I stop in. I highly recommend as a must see in Butte.

I love it here. Drinks are priced well. Its cozy, and welcoming. Lighting is not bright.. Good people. If you enjoy going out, with out the crowd I highly recommend a Monday/Tuesday. Idk about the rest of the week. Sundays you have to call in advance with 4 ppl min. Alternative ppl welcome. Its my favorite bar in Butte! I’ll add pics next time I go.

If you like the perfect mix of hospitality, welcoming patrons, a bar with a cat for its mascot, a wood burning stove, and patrons who are welcoming music lovers, this is the place to visit. Was made to feel welcome, prices were fair, enjoyed conversing with the owner and various regulars. We found the place here on google , took a guitar , they plugged us in to the bar pa, and we spent the first night taking turns playing songs. It was a blast. It’s definitely worth stopping in for a drink or 10.

Everything about this space, from the friendly and entertaining owner, Bryant, to the over-all style and vibe… make for a one of a kind experience. Great art scene at the Dollar. Be it poetry, live music, readings, etc. they have something going on all of the time. The prices are fair, but they only accept cash. I would give them an easy 5/5 if they would get with the times and accepts credit cards/ debit cards. It’s also very cold in there for the majority of the year, so wear layers or plan to dance the night away to keep warm.

Silver Dollar Saloon in Butte, Montana is the true definition of an old school dive bar. Walking into the bar you can just feel and see the tremendous history of Butte as well as many musicians and artists from around the world. It’s dark, perfectly lit for a dive, worn in all the right ways, the beer is cold and the drinks are strong. This bar is an absolute treasure and should be protected. I met with the owner Brian who was kind enough to show me around and give me some historical information about the space. DO NOT MISS this bar when visiting Butte.
