The food was not what I expected from a diner. The vegan dish I had was amazing… But my son’s $17 plain cheeseburger and $10 for a basic milkshake?? Seems a little steep. If I’m paying that much for food I would expect at least clean floors and bathroom stalls with real locks.

A good quality restaurant serving a variety of healthy dishes and halal chicken and beef. I ordered the protein pancakes and they were very good. Taste is different from ordinary pancakes of course so taste will differ from person to person but I like them. My favorite appetizer to order is the salmon avacado toast and it’s always so delicious. My only criticism is that they barely spice their dishes so the meat and omelets come out bland and if you order medium rare they will bring you a rare piece of meat so I always ask for medium well instead and it’s all good.

Saturday morning outing with my daughter we chose a favorite Silver Diner! We enjoyed the atmosphere minus the fact that many of the booth juke boxes were out of order sadly. Our server was very nice and prompt with all services. The food was good as well. The only reason this place is getting a three star rating is the very uncomfortable conversations overheard from the manager on duty (short Latin lady with dark hair in a ponytail working the 3/11/23 morning shift) she was very rude to her staff and spoke to several staff members rudely/unprofessional in English and Spanish. She went so far as to tell a male staff member that his hair style made her sick and hurry up and get ready for his shift. Coming from the serving world I couldn’t imagine working under her “leadership” she lead her team morning meeting within direct ear shot of my table. The silver brand has always been a pleasant experience but this particular visit was quite uncomfortable.

Super busy but efficient and delicious! Sat at the counter with no wait. Got my coffee. Ordered some super awesome avocado toast on sour dough with micro greens, smoked salmon, and two eggs over easy! I referred some friends and they also enjoyed!

It’s unfortunate as this place used to be a lot better quality of food with fast service. The atmosphere is still pretty neat but the food and service took away from it. 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee seems a bit excessive for a place that only was at 1/5 capacity. The smoked salmon benedict was prepared with hard eggs as well as a sauce that wasn’t palatable. The fried steak gravy was very salty and I couldn’t finish it in the end. Trust me I like salty but this was pushing the envelope. A lot of potential here but missed the mark this visit.

Disgusting! Ended up, leaving without finishing our shakes, because we found not one but two hairs in our daughter’s food. THEN while I was going to the bathroom, one of the employees (the one with the blue apron strings) did not wash her hands, and immediately returned to working behind the counter! Please do not eat here. It’s disgusting the servers may be friendly but yuck! just ew!

I recently visited the Silver Diner and overall, I would say the experience was just okay. The food was good, but nothing particularly stood out to me. The service was excellent, with the waitress checking on us a couple of times and being very attentive. The atmosphere was decent, with a clean and well-maintained restaurant. There was plenty of parking available, which was convenient. The only downside was that the prices seemed a bit high, but I understand that inflation can impact prices. Overall, the food came out in a reasonable time and we were able to get a fast table on a weekday, so the experience was mostly positive.

We picked the location for our family of 5 to meet up in Northern Virginia. We were sat right away, after looking at their very extensive menu we put in a full order of wings. The appetizer hit the table about 10 minutes later. I bite into a piping hot wing only to have it ICE cold at the bone. I had to get up and find someone to help us. The apologized took the first order back and made another. My wife and son ordered 2 shakes, 1 peppermint and 1 order cookie. The peppermint was plan chocolate, how disappointing. For Brunch I had the wester omelet and it was very good. But the 2 previous strikes put a damper on the rest of the meal. Table was not maintained and we ended up with a pile of dishes and glasses, while we saw staff socializing instead of turning tables.
