5 stars for delivering exactly what was promised. For the first time, a drink looked exactly the way it was shown on the menu. Kudos for that. Too often, restaurants advertise something beautiful and then serve a disappointing version at the table. It feels misleading. In Japan, there are consumer protection standards around this, which I really respect.
The space feels clean and classic, with good ventilation. I stayed for over an hour and walked out without smelling like fried food, which I appreciated.
The food could be improved slightly. My western omelette was almost cold when it arrived. As someone who cooks, I understand how temperature can drop quickly, especially if ingredients are cold to begin with. It was also Saturday brunch rush, so I understand the kitchen may have been moving fast.
That drink alone sets a higher standard. Maybe this is where a new industry quality benchmark begins (# #…haha). Overall, 5 stars.

We had a good experience overall. Even though it was busy, the food came out very fast and the service was good. You could tell everyone was a bit tired, but they were still helpful. Everything we had was vegetarian/vegan, we tried the Beyond Meat hamburger and the Just Egg Benedict, and both were delicious. We also had the tropical mimosa, which was really nice. Definitely recommended to try, especially if you’re looking for good vegetarian or vegan options.

Had a beautiful dinner last evening. Food was awesome. Service was questionable. He took order quickly. When he brought food, is When it went very downhill. He totally ignored me after that. Wanted a refill of water but couldn’t get it. Waited 15 minutes after finishing my meal. Hoping to order dessert. When he finally came, first words were, “ready for your bill?” Watching him, he delivered food promptly, but never went back to a table. He was busy chit chatting with coworkers. Christian was his name.

Our server Sandra was so patient with our any additions and requests. My children would have rated the food 980 stars if they could. They loved the Salmon and the Sliders and I enjoyed my skirt steak. My mother has been looking for a restaurant that serves good liver and onions… she loved the one here! Thank you Silver Diner!

I hadn’t been to a silver diner in over 15 years and I’m so glad I went back.
The food was so good. I got the smash burger special and my partner got the lemon buttercream pancakes. Both were delicious. We also got the mimosa flight which was a bit pricey for what it was, but the presentation made up for it.
Service was good but nothing crazy. Server was attentive as possible for someone waiting on 20 tables
The restaurant is loud with an old school diner theme. Each table has a little jukebox and everything inside resembles a 70’s diner (at least that’s what I think idk I’m only 30ish so yeah)

I had the rueben, my son had 2 sliders and fries and my husband ordered the steak dinner. Everything was good. Our server took care of us and our food was delivered hot and fresh. We ate there later in the night and I’m surprised at how busy they were at that time of night to be honest but I can see why they were busy. It’s a good restaurant with good food and I would recommend it.

A Silver Diner is always a safe bet and the menu is much better than the classic menu. There is a good chunk of parking to share with other stores.
Sometimes we wait briefly; other times, we are seated immediately. The food arrives quickly, the wait staff are always pleasant, and some items on the menu are so well prepared. We don’t love the kids’ Mac and cheese because the macaroni is just floating in cheese-esque sauce, but the chicken fingers (which i am not usually a fan of) are absolutely great here: crispy, crunchy, tasty, and a great chicken to breading ratio.
There really is something for everyone. Prices are OK-especially the kids’ menu, and there are 2 pages just for drinks.
P.S. I think the juke boxes are just for decoration and don’t actually take requests….but you’ll have to ask the staff for sure.

Greasy spoon diner with a bit less grease and a lot more panache. Menu offers so very progressive gastronomical eats without astronomical prices. Our party of 5 all elected for the more tupucal fare… bison burger, pot pie, fried cod, crab eggs Benedict…. overall all items were solid / good, fish very good, fries terrible, soggy, and cold, coke flat. Got charged for two extra drinks. Sharon was very good server.

First visit to Silver Diner in Rockville.We ordered Chicken bacon burger, vegetable pasta and some mocktails.Pasta was just ok not that good.
Burger was good juicy along with some crispy fries and drinks were tasty.(Peach,Mango,Guava mix)
Service was attentive and It was busy in lunch time.will surely be back soon.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast before heading back to NY and was pleasantly surprised. I’m used to NY diners that all basically look the same and have the same menus. Silver Diner has a great colorful retro feel, was very clean, super friendly staff and the food was delicious. You can get your typical diner items but they also have a wide variety of menu items that you would never see in a NY diner. I got your basic eggs and potatoes but my fiancé got the burrata shakshuka and LOVED IT! Wish we had a Silver Diner in NY.
