The wings are huge they are breaded and fried with sauce on top, onion rings fried golden crisp and crunchy, and the pizza are made for each personal request. Bar keep was on top of everyone between orders and drinks. Big bar room has multiple TVs with different events going on. Well worth a stop in for a drink or dine in experience.

The bar is in a separate area so you can’t hear the noise from the family dinning area. The menu has family style or single dinners including pizza, fried chicken, catfish fiddler’s, sandwiches, wraps and kids meals just to name a few.

Outstanding food; no doubt about that! This is the best execution of country cooking I’ve ever had; bar none. The dining room has a cute collection of memorabilia and vintage knickknacks and the menu artwork is very cute, which lends to the charm. Unfortunately, there is no music in the dining room nor the capacity for it, so the atmosphere was difficult for us. There was an incessantly annoying customer two booths over during our visit that music would have helped us to drown out. Service was good. If you’re up for the drive it’s a great place for some outstanding country cooking!

We met friends there on a Friday for dinner. We were able to be seated right away. The beer is ice cold which was a great start to go with the sampler platter of breaded mushrooms, cauliflower, and onion rings. The sampler was wonderful. The onion rings were seasoned well too. We had fried chicken and side dishes for dinner. It was perfect. The chicken was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The green beans had a great bacon/smoke flavor that we all enjoyed. I had German fries that were also great! The portions were plentiful and we were able to take fried chicken home to our son.

Fried chicken like mama used to make, delicious potatoes and slaw, the best burger we’ve seen in a while….what’s not to love?!
