Josh was an awesome server! Plenty to do here for the active mind, eccentric decor, flash tattoos & ping pong upstairs, endless entertainment while waiting for food wonderful valentine’s day experience, plus amazing artwork on every menu! My burger was phenomenal, fries just as good! I wish I knew what lotion was in the bathroom, smelled wonderful. Clean & relaxing, welcoming, uplifting atmosphere. 15/10!!

This was my first time to SILVA and it was amazing. We were celebrating my brothers 50th birthday and wanted to try something new. It was a very fun atmosphere and lots going on to keep entertained including the magician. The service was amazing and very attentive. Now for the food. We all ordered a variety of food and were sharing with each other because everything was so flavorful and amazing. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The flavors had such a unique taste that you couldn’t get enough of. The deserts were just as amazing. We will definitely be back.

I only toured this place for an upcoming corporate event. And this place looks amazing! They sourced the stained glass from a church in Kalamazoo and have an amazing light and sound set up in The Big Room! They have 5 boccee balls ‘courts’ and great hang out spaces and rooms! Definitely check it out!

This was my first experience with the restaurant. I had only heard of it due to friends and co-workers that worked on the Berkey and Gay Furniture building for the venue next door during construction and saw that they had a brunch menu on the weekends. Love a brunch.
The website showed people dressed as cowboys or in flamboyant Western attire for the brunch which I assumed was some kind of fun and clever advertising.
Apparently, Silva labels itself as a “dinnertainment” space.
I did not know what I was walking into but came out grinning ear to ear and plan on going back every time a friend or family member visits.
Down to brass tacks; the food.
The food was absolutely amazing.
Potatoes were crispy, bacon was crispy, eggs were cooked to perfection, all the little side sauces and accoutrements with the meals were perfect. The coffee nerd of the group praise the coffee, and I myself as the tea drinker loved the loose leaf pot left at the table that allowed me to have three cups of Earl Gray with my meal.
The flavors were perfect. I’m shocked by how many diners and brunch places you can go to where they do something that we have all had a million times in our lives like eggs and bacon and it still gets screwed up. This is not that place. They take a lot of pride and care into how they not only prepare and plate your food but what goes into it and how it’s going to taste.

Okay, now the entertainment portion.
I’m not going to lie, I had no idea what I was getting into. But in a good way.
The simple building I had driven by for years and never imagined as a place to go get food or even think of as an entertainment venue opens its double doors in the front to an incredible waiting area adorned with tons of tchotchke items and toys from childhood’s past arranged in a pastiche that somehow brings it all together and makes its own presentation. An aesthetic that will follow throughout the rest of the building and into the dining/bar area.
The high vaulted ceilings of the former factory and all the huge windows let in so much natural light. Then, unexpectedly, there are people dancing. Not just any people. People dressed in all kinds of wild costumes. Anything from a princess to something that look like a anthropomorphosized collection of Coachella outfits stacked into a human shape being taking orders, a woman in red leather head to toe, and a fella adorned in a complete hot pink Adidas tracksuit like Jason Sudeikis from the “what’s up with that?” SNL sketch.
It was jarring and bonkers but so much fun. We were like babes in the woods just gawking at every thing from old toys we recognized to the beautifully crafted furniture and booth materials to the giant black disco balls like Death Stars in each corner. There were people with ribbons dancing and just passing through the tables. It was pretty amazing. I’ve never been to Casa Bonita but I’ve seen the South Park episode about it and it was that kind of experience for me.
Now, to the rest of the building. Having been blown away by what we experienced in our little section I noticed there was a whole lot more to explore. They have complete bocce ball courrs. A massive bar. A gaming area to play pool and darts. This all pales a comparison to the eight separate bathrooms with their own theme from Star Wars to Western style.
They even have merch.
Bocce ball courts seemed very affordable especially if you’re going to get a group to throw down or come back for an event or a birthday of some sort. I’m honestly thinking of asking for this as a birthday gift. Just get everybody together and have a good time amongst the John Waters fever dream that envelops you at every turn.
There is street parking, a nearby parking lot, and between this section of the building and the other section that is a music venue is a parking garage. I didn’t look for the parking prices, apologies for that. I also don’t pay for parking nor do I stand in line for anything. We parked on the street on a Saturday at around 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. It was pretty nice and easy although there was snow.

If you’re looking for a fun night out with good food and an entertaining atmosphere, SILVA is a great spot to try. We went during the holiday season and were greeted by many nostalgic decorations. Party tried the jalapeno popper croquettes and the soul rolls. Both starters were outstanding; unique and full of flavor. Then we tried the grilled cheese, cheese soup, short rib sandwich, Silva burger, the sloppy Cho, and the plant based chicken parm. Everyone was happy with their choices; with each item being cooked well and very tasty. The French fries that accompanied our sandwiches were very good; nice size, nice fry, and nicely seasoned. Service was decent (ours appeared to be a little too busy for us at times; having to ask for refills or wait to place orders) but overall was friendly and got our orders correct. Coke products are always a plus in our book.
We played bocce ball after dinner which was a lot of fun. Kip was a great attendant on the bocce ball “courts.”
We will definitely go back for more food and enjoyment.

The atmosphere and character of SILVA is unmatched and uniquely West Michigan. We really enjoyed wandering after dinner to take in the fun and quirky details hidden about. The food was cooked with care and the cocktails refreshing. I can’t recommend going enough.
