Just a recommendation for Silk Road on Park Street because they should be getting way more attention for fantastic middle eastern food.

First time trying this place!
• Falafel Nar: 8/10
• Malike Hummus: 9.5/10
• Beiti Kebab: 3/10
The pita bread was good, though I’m not sure if it’s made from scratch. The falafel and Malike hummus were both delicious. I’m not certain if the falafel is homemade, but it tasted great with the tzatziki and pickles. The Malike hummus was our favorite of the three. I’d even count it as a main dish on its own.

I thought the falafel plate would come with some veggies, but it didn’t. Maybe they changed it? The presentation was beautiful though!

The Beiti kebab, on the other hand, was just okay. The tomato sauce tasted store-bought (not sure though), and the ratio of tomato sauce and yogurt to the ground beef was off. There was too much sauce for the amount of meat. Plus, the tomato sauce was cold even though the menu said it would be “drizzled with warm tomato butter sauce.”

And I saw the cook was using his phone and calling someone in the kitchen… there was no customer except us but I thought that wasn’t professional or hygienic.

I’d come back again, but I wouldn’t order the main dish next time.

Amazing food, great service, great atmosphere. The Kunefe was spectacular ! We had beef soup, the peach bruschetta, Tajik Pilaf, and a lamb wrap. The tea was also so fragrant and tasty. Our server was Abu and he was super friendly and helpful. The Tajik pilaf was enough for two, large portions. The wrap was quite large as well. We shared the peach bruschetta and the Kunefe. Bathrooms were clean, decoration was pleasant and warm

Beautiful textiles and pottery create a lovely atmosphere. Food is fantastic – the beet salad is especially creative and tasty. Loved eating here and will return again. Staff was great! Thank you.

The food was amazing. Probably best falafel I’ve had in a long time. The peach bruschetta was an insane mix of flavors that worked beautifully. I definitely recommend that.

This is the second time we have come here with the family, the food was just as delicious as the first time, we are surprised that we haven’t come back more often, the service was good, much better than the first time, very polite and they gladly explain if you don’t know what a dish is made of and they give you recommendations, we loved the remodeling they did to the place, it was beautiful! Everything from the appetizers to the desserts were delicious combined with the ambiance 10/10

We really love this restaurant, and have been going here several times. We went one night and both ordered the Tajik plov (Tajik pilaf) which comes with salad and sauce.

This was the first time that we found this dish hadn’t run out so we ordered it and the cherry compote.

Wow! Now we know why this dish is so popular. It was amazing with the lamb. Note that hot jalepeño peppers are on the side, so be cautious.

We recommend the other dishes on the menu, which we have sampled up to now.

Sometimes they are very busy, so you may have to wait for a table or plan to make reservations.

Had wanted to try this restaurant for a while and found an opportunity this weekend to visit . The atmosphere is welcoming and immediately felt welcome and relaxed . It is a smaller restaurant with a warm vibe .

Staff and our server explained the menu and answered our questions . Unfortunately one of the dishes we wanted to try Tajik Pilaf with raisins was sold out , but we will be back to try it next time .

We got two fruit drinks that are very refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day . We started with a grilled peach salad which a good balance of sweet savory and crunch from salted nuts . Definitely a good start and combination of ingredients.

As they were just out of their special which we wanted to try , we went for the kebab platter mix for two people . This is served with a pilaf & chickpea side dish and well grilled veggies on the side. Three different kebabs all perfectly grilled and prepared. Chicken was juicy and flavorful , lamb was well seasoned and beef was okay . The beef was our least favorite due to having too much fat in certain pieces .

Service is good and fast.

We will certainly be back again .

Try this place! It is a pleasant surprise. Is in an old taco bell building, but they have made it a very cozy little restaurant with a great middle-Eastern vibe. The bread and appetizers were surprisingly good. Try one of the salads. The grilled peach one is amazing. The lamb on the lamb kebab was a little tough but still delicious. We will be back.

Silk road is a great place – ambience is good, food was great – the chicken and lamb were quite flavorful. Chhalaab ( buttermilk based drink, like indian chaas ) was my boyfriend’s favourite. I got the roasted peach salad – very good. Although, they were out of rice and hence we couldn’t get any rice dishes. That was a bummer, because I love rice. Also Kunefe was unavailable, probably because we came here at 9 pm. So, I hope next time we try all these dishes too!
