• Falafel Nar: 8/10
• Malike Hummus: 9.5/10
• Beiti Kebab: 3/10
The pita bread was good, though I’m not sure if it’s made from scratch. The falafel and Malike hummus were both delicious. I’m not certain if the falafel is homemade, but it tasted great with the tzatziki and pickles. The Malike hummus was our favorite of the three. I’d even count it as a main dish on its own.
I thought the falafel plate would come with some veggies, but it didn’t. Maybe they changed it? The presentation was beautiful though!
The Beiti kebab, on the other hand, was just okay. The tomato sauce tasted store-bought (not sure though), and the ratio of tomato sauce and yogurt to the ground beef was off. There was too much sauce for the amount of meat. Plus, the tomato sauce was cold even though the menu said it would be “drizzled with warm tomato butter sauce.”
And I saw the cook was using his phone and calling someone in the kitchen… there was no customer except us but I thought that wasn’t professional or hygienic.
I’d come back again, but I wouldn’t order the main dish next time.
This was the first time that we found this dish hadn’t run out so we ordered it and the cherry compote.
Wow! Now we know why this dish is so popular. It was amazing with the lamb. Note that hot jalepeño peppers are on the side, so be cautious.
We recommend the other dishes on the menu, which we have sampled up to now.
Sometimes they are very busy, so you may have to wait for a table or plan to make reservations.
Staff and our server explained the menu and answered our questions . Unfortunately one of the dishes we wanted to try Tajik Pilaf with raisins was sold out , but we will be back to try it next time .
We got two fruit drinks that are very refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day . We started with a grilled peach salad which a good balance of sweet savory and crunch from salted nuts . Definitely a good start and combination of ingredients.
As they were just out of their special which we wanted to try , we went for the kebab platter mix for two people . This is served with a pilaf & chickpea side dish and well grilled veggies on the side. Three different kebabs all perfectly grilled and prepared. Chicken was juicy and flavorful , lamb was well seasoned and beef was okay . The beef was our least favorite due to having too much fat in certain pieces .
Service is good and fast.
We will certainly be back again .
