First time having Pakistani food. Was amazing. Had the vegan eggplant and lamb masala. Both tasted light yet cozy comfort food. The owners were excited to share the background of the dishes, and the dome in the back to enjoy the food in was an extra treat. Will stop by again on future travels.

Stopped to get something nextdoor. Then we spotted Nirvana, (Silk Road) such a welcoming greeting from Mary. She took our order with a smile and a great attitude. She seasoned my ordering with a gentle application of charm, wit and kindness.
We had the goat curry and beef cheeks with rice topped with cilantro and a few pepper rings.(Just enough) Also the garlic naan and sauce were flavorful and a great addition to the meal.
We received our meal from a buzzer in the outside dining area. With picnic tables and covered sun shades. While sipping on a sample of mango lassi. (Very good !!!)
Mary and Fakar ( the chef) hope I spelled it correctly. Both checked in on us during our meal.
In total, a memorable experience. If we’re ever in Hot Springs we will be back.

Absolutely delicious food and a charming atmosphere! We stopped at this Pakistani restaurant in Hot Springs, SD, and were blown away by the flavors. The smoked lamb and beef dishes were both incredibly tender and packed with rich, aromatic spices. Every bite was perfection! They also served the absolute best Naan I have ever had!
We were blessed with nice weather and the outdoor seating area was adorable—, cozy, and a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The owners were welcoming and made the experience even better. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit for authentic, flavorful Pakistani cuisine. Highly recommend!!
Ps..our only regret was not ordering more food to have for breakfast the next morning..I am still dreaming of this meal

Oh my God, the food… Go support this charming Pakistani place! The food is literally out of this world!
Adorable tiny rustic wooden building with fun, plentiful outdoor seating areas (next to Two Cows in downtown Hot Springs on River Street).
We tried the chicken & also the shredded beef lunch: the beef over their amazing naan-style bread and the chicken over their delicious rice. The meats were perfectly cooked to perfection (literally fall apart, consistency in the best way) with flavorful, fresh seasonings and spices (with delightful, sliced cucumbers, and fresh sauces) that remind you, you are eating truly authentic Pakistani food. We also had a mango lassi drink, which was delightful!
Owners are warm and kind & a pleasure to chat with – we are definitely looking forward to our next visit!
Make sure you don’t miss out while are in Hot Springs! (From what we remember, they are open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for lunch and Friday, Saturday for dinner!)
A total 5 star experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped here for lunch after a half day of hiking around 6 miles.
Very underwhelmed with the food here. It took a long time to receive the food and the lamb wasn’t even hot when the roll was opened up. It had very little flavor and was overloaded with veggies.
To pay $17 for 2 rolls and to not get any rice, it was not great value for the money.
If you’re in the area, go to Big Time Pizza instead. You can get a large pizza with half of it with a topping for under $25 and it can feed 3 people.
This lamb roll or whatever it was called didn’t even curb my hunger. So much so, I had to stop next door for ice cream.

Not every small town in South Dakota has a Pakistani restaurant but this is Hot Springs hidden gem we are so lucky for the owners making there home here and serving awesome food.
It’s fall time and while waiting in line to order the conversation about “Chi tea ” came up, I can tell you there chi tea was sweet with good amount of spices this was so good on this cool evening.
I had chicken Marcella great portion the right heat for spice. My friend had the okra Marcella and he was very satisfied with the spice and heat level.
If you are passing by foot or vehicle do stop in and meet the owners and order your hearts out for a very tasty meal…

We are very particular about where we dine, so after an email and phone conversation with Mary about the quality and sourcing of their ingredients, I was excited for my husband and sons to try out the Silk Road on their mini vacation. They came back with only positive exclamations and a promise to take me there one day. They said the conversations, food (including their “dessert” options), atmosphere, and the overall spirit of the place was on our same wavelength. It’s officially one of the only restaurants we can eat at. (Very positive side note: they are biblically clean, so anyone of this same conciousness/conviction and eat here concern-free) The food prices are worth it based on quality, and it’s actually nourishing, not just filling. You’ll leave this place feeling like life is good.

My 2 friends and I were very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and drinks. Seeing Chickwn Curry, Lamb Curry and a cabbage dish on the small menu made us a little wary, until Mary told us that “curry” simply means “sauce.” She told us it’s not what you expect, and biy was she right. She gave us samples of each dish, and we were in love. Each came with rice, tzaziki sauce, and home made Naan. So delicious! I dislike yellow curry and loved these dishes! We ordered all three and shared so we could have some of everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful, the chicken moist and tender! The cabbage was amazing! The drinks were so unique and delightful. Mary told us the Rose drink is what literally everyone in Pakistan drinks. More than water even! Worth it for a great, flavor full experience. I highly recommend. Do be ready for a bit of a wait, your food is cooked fresh and hot. I recommend it on a slow afternoon. 🙂

Authentic Pakistani cuisine (in South Dakota!) in a welcoming, casual outdoor atmosphere with fabulous service. I’ve never had Pakistani food or drink before, but surely this is the best! Fresh, homemade, and delicious. It was all such a treat. My personal beast and I came back many times over the course of the week to enjoy both it and the company again, and it was wonderful in particular to find such a friendly place I could dine with my dog. Perfect portions, and we scarfed down every molecule that was brought to us. For the health-conscious, there were no seed/”vegetable” oils in the menu choices save for one of the drinks, I believe. Will for sure be back! Absolutely delightful.
