We both felt like a burger and ordered the”one eyed jack”
It was cooked perfectly. Mine medium and hers medium rare. Perfectly!
And they were delicious ! Like Wow!
Or waitress Marcy (Marcie?) Was super friendly. Quick and attentive.
The place was clean, bright and decorated with period mill items.
We will go back when in the area.
The food was very good and worth coming back for.
The service was good, but felt somewhat rushed, at 6 pm that’s not cool. The booths had food and trash from the last seating. It was quickly cleared away by our waitress, but should not have been there in the first place.
Two out of towners with no previous knowledge of menu, reviews, or service enjoyed ourselves. The bar bathroom was clean, the other bathroom was outside the entrance, so didn’t attempt to go there.
I think there is a lack of identity here… are you upscale or family oriented? Hard to tell, but, nevertheless, an overall 4 star experience. Under $100 for 2 people who each had a $10 beverage. I’d go back
I had the most fresh, perfectly prepared scallops with delicious real mashed potatoes and also super fresh salad. Husband had a huge portion of meatloaf and fries with homemade gravy! Lovely old mill atmosphere! We rode down from Martinsburg, WV and it was well worth the trip!
Then I read people giving 1star because they had to wait a minute or their favorite wasn’t available at the time they wanted it. Come on, now!!
This place needs 5 stars!!
What impressed me the most was the affordable prices, which is a rare find in a restaurant that offers such quality dishes. Speaking of dishes, I have to mention the mouthwatering mushroom caps, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And let’s not forget the fried oysters, which were simply amazing and left me craving for more.
Moreover, the server was extremely friendly and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Overall, I would highly recommend The Silk Mill to anyone looking for a unique dining experience with exceptional food and outstanding service. It’s definitely worth a visit, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delectable dishes!
