Siki Japanese Restaurant is AMAZING! My family and I love it! The hibachi is incredible — the steak is tender, and the shrimp are huge and perfectly cooked. The sushi bar is top-notch: fresh, delicious, and high-quality every time.
I’ve traveled all over the U.S., and this place still stands out as some of the best Japanese food around. With a nice atmosphere and great service, it’s the full package. Highly recommend to anyone in the area — you won’t be disappointed!

After Gojo’s on the Plaza closed in 2020, I thought the Hibachi experience was lost for those of us in the SE parts of KC. And while I had seen Siki from the outside many times, it’s exterior, location, and parking lot kind of prevented me from giving them a shot. But never judge a book by its cover, right? It was the spouse’s birthday desire for Hibachi, so I made the reservation. Making a reservation was the best idea – otherwise you might not get in on a Friday or Saturday night. Our reservation was set for 6pm, and they seated us mostly on time, but then didn’t take our drink or food order for several minutes. Is was a Saturday Night and it was packed, so I can overlook this part, but the timing comes back into play at the end. Once the show started, it was pretty darn good. Fresh food started being cooked on the Hibachi grill, knife and spatula skills were well honed. Food was prepared well. It was very pleasant. But because we got started late, the time to sit around, enjoy the food, and make conversation with those at the grill was truncated so they could seat the 7pm guests. Be aware, if you want Sushi, ask for the separate sushi menu. Also be prepared to drop $100-200. But, for the show and food quality, I would definitely go again.

We had a very good time here. Our waiter was very nice and we got our food quickly. We had crab rangoon and spring rolls, both were excellent, much better than the average chain restaurant. Our combination fried rice was excellent with beef chicken and shrimp. We will definitely be back

If I could give SIKI 10s across the board I would, I usually do the hibachi, but this time I got a table. Service was great. The food was excellent. This is my first time trying the crab salad, it was fire, that means good!! Imma post the pics of the fried sushi and California roll, crab salad and shrimp fried rice

Outstanding hibachi and sushi with fun atmosphere and incredible staff to match! Great for all groups – adults, families, couples…
We had a group of 11 with 4 kids (12 & under) and were seated right away on a Saturday around 2:00). Staff had great humor with us from the start as the kids tried to decide where everyone would sit. It was beyond clear that they enjoy their work – everyone from the servers to the hibachi chefs was kind, friendly, and (appropriately) cheeky.
We ordered edamame, steamed dumplings, and crab Rangoon as apps. The crab rangoon were the size of tennis balls and sweet with a little tang – perfection!
Hibachi meals were cooked just right by some of the most engaging and funniest chefs I’ve ever seen. For example, when reviewing orders, the scallops order was repeated back as marshmallows and one of the kids was asked if they had ordered filet and lobster. It was hilarious! Be ready to roll with the punches and you’ll have a great time. Due to the size of our group and their tables, we had two chefs cooking at the same time which just added to the fun! Of course, everything cooked by the hibachi chefs was incredible and well prepared.
Sushi was also well prepared! We didn’t meet the Sushi chef, but props to them as well!

My first time here and I truly wasn’t impressed.
Pros: The place was clean. The chef was very friendly, funny and very interactive with everyone at the table. I didn’t order Hibachi but I did order the vegetable fried rice and sushi entree. The onion soup was very delicious.
Cons. The fried rice was decent but lacked flavor. The sushi was decent as well. I didn’t care for the California roll but the tuna & yellow tail was decent. Their yellow hollandaise sauce didn’t taste anything like Gojos, it hard a tart taste to it which I didn’t care for.
Overall the food was decent.
