It’s located in a small street with many other restaurants. Uber of Lyft is recommended as there is little parking spaces.
There are many choices for meat but what I noticed is that most tables, that order the beef brisket, ends up with a huge plate that they must finish so not to waste food. If you order various meat, you might end up with too much meat and wasting it.
Beef brisket (#3), beef bulgoki (#10 highly recommended) and beef short ribs (#1) were good. The seasoned squid (not calamari) is too chewy. The pork belly (#7) takes too much time to cook. Shrimp wasn’t that great.
The waitress will replace the cooking plate two/three times so you don’t cook with burned plates.
Maybe half of the Kimchi cups were refilled but I think all of them should have been refilled at least once.
Don’t pour oil on the cooking plate but on the meat.
Overall we were happy to try Korean ayce.
On top of that, when it came time to pay, one of the workers told us our tip was “too small.” This was very rude and unprofessional. The way he explained it made us feel pressured and uncomfortable, so we ended up increasing the tip to 18% of our bill just to stop the complaining.
Between the broken equipment and being guilt-tripped over tipping, the experience was not enjoyable at all. Definitely not worth the time or money.
When I got to the door, I was first told they do not serve solo diners. After I explained that I was very hungry and willing to order more food, I was then told that 2:30 AM was actually the last seating time and they refused to serve me.
This is extremely frustrating and misleading. If the last order or last seating time is 2:30 AM, it should be clearly stated on Google Maps instead of showing a 4:00 AM closing time.
Businesses can set their own rules, but inconsistent explanations and inaccurate information create a very poor customer experience—especially for late-night customers who make the effort to come in person.
We came at peak dinner hour so the place was hectic. The two waitress were constantly running and bussing.
The bathroom is outside of the restaurant and requires a key. Parking is validated but we still have to pay $2 as it’s only good for 1 hour.
We had a wonderful time here .
