I can’t believe this place exists in our area! An amazing, amazing bakery that uses local grains for their products. Since it seems to be some kind of whole grain being used – the baked goods feel really unique. It means some of the pasties have a different texture than what you might be used to but the natural flavor of the bread is amazing. They have a lot of loaves, baguettes, cookies, focaccias, and other savory and sweet pastries. Everyone who lives around here should come!

The sourdough bread was delicious and I had them slice so I could make sandwiches. It’s the perfect size for a sandwich not too wide. As far as their pastry items. They were good but too earthy for my taste. For someone that is looking for a real farmer’s market pastry, this is it. Wish they had some seating. Definitely a grab and go.

We stopped by on our way to Magazzino Art to find the most delicious baked goods around. OMG the ricotta tomato tart is amazing as was everything we purchased.
Great space inside and out.
Thank you all

I have stopped at this bakery couple of times on my way from the city to Cold Spring and Beacon mostly for freshly baked Baguettes. Sometimes muffins too.
I never had food or coffee here, so I cannot judge.

Best organic bread, pastries, and treats in the lower Hudson Valley! Wow, just can’t get over the selection of bread. This bakery uses hot ovens to crisp and char the crust and elevates common bread to gormet. The baguettes are perfect, crispy, and crusty. The olive bread has giant, whole olives that are briny and fresh. I love Bread alone but this is the next level. I arrived around 2:30 and there was still a large selection on a Saturday. Call ahead to check stock. Signal Fire is the perfect local bakery and I’m so glad it’s within 25 minutes from home. The bakers were super friendly and helpful. It’s definitely worth the trip.

Quick stop in for a snack. We were hoping perhaps for some sandwiches which they do not offer but the sweet treats were delicious. We tried the Apple spice cake, the cinnamon rolls, and the pumpkin cranberry muffin. Thumbs up to each. Would definitely stop again if in the area. Very limited indoor seating.

This place feels just right! Cozy like home, with a clean, modern style that makes you wanna stay. Everything is baked with care: wholesome ingredients, not too sweet, really thoughtful. You walk out feeling nourished and happier. Definitely worth a stop when you are in the area, even if it means a detour!

I drive 2.5 hours just for their bread. It is, far and away, the best bread I’ve ever had. The baked good are superb. They use locally grown, locally milled grains and wheats and all the breads are sourdough based. Run, don’t walk to Signal Fire!

Hidden Gem: Fantastic Coffee Roaster and Bakery!

I stumbled upon this little coffee shop by accident, and what a great find! They roast their own coffee beans and also sell their own fresh-baked bread.

The coffee is absolutely delicious, and they have a wide variety of breads and pastries, all of which looked incredibly tempting. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, taking the time to tell us about their shop and process.

Just a note: they close at 4 PM, so if you’re planning to buy bread, make sure to get there early! Highly recommend this spot!
