Sign of the Dove Restaurant is a restaurant set inside of a 1903 historic home. We’re located just a block off the historic square and inside the Drane-Stevens home which is now Sign of the Dove Inn. We specialize in creating an amazing experience by combining the services of our inn for lodging needs and our restaurant for dining and special event services. Check out The Cobalt Lounge for Happy Hour EVERY Wed-Fri 5pm – 7pm. Great deals on drinks and appetizers! Dine-In and Carry-Out is available.

An exceptional find in a charming little country town. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our experience here. Beautiful surroundings, warm and efficient service, wonderful drink options and FABULOUS food that was appealing to the eye and belly!! We shared stuffed mushrooms and had the quail special and shrimp & grits followed by fried cheesecake. We also had a delightful and oh so Georgian peach wine. The manager of the Inn also allowed us to check out their rooms for rent. Each has en suite facilities and is well appointed and beautifully decorated. You easily could make a weekend of this restaurant and B&B. Within walking distance there is a distillery, a super cute little gift shop, Wells & Welch, and an amazing coffee shop.

Beautiful and well-maintained old house. I was with a party of 6 and we all tried (and shared) different appetizers and entrees. Everything we got was excellent (as was the service). For dessert, the fried Oreos were amazing! So good. We wound up getting an order to go to share later. I’d highly recommend Sign of the Dove.

This is an awesome restaurant. We grabbed to go meals and were very pleased with the food. If you’re looking for something different, this is the place. I will definitely be going back to dine in, the atmosphere is beautiful!!!! It’s worth the drive from anywhere! We live in Taylor County and will be going at least once a week. I’m all for supporting small local businesses and this one is a winner. It puts the “chain” restaurants to shame. Go see them, you won’t leave disappointed.

Sign of the Dove was our choice venue for a bridal shower! The venue is beautiful, the staff is friendly and highly professional, and the food is exceptional! 9 of our guests stayed in The Cottage overnight! They were comfortable, and loved the space! This is South Georgia’s best kept secret! I highly recommend dining at the restaurant, having your events with them, and staying in The Cottage! Oh, and don’t get me started on the breakfast!! The PERFECT ending to a beautiful pre-wedding weekend!!! Excellence, service, and hospitality! Thank you Sign of the Dove crew! We are forever grateful for this experience and the memories!!

I recommend the Inn and the restaurant. Had a two night stay at the Inn, the air conditioning works extremely well, beds were comfortable, the staff was welcoming and friendly. The restaurant, “wow”! There is this dish named “Typhoon” it’s a seafood and pasta combination that is out of this world AMAZING. Definitely going back for a stay as well as for the dish.

I went there with two friends from Columbus. We had a reservation, but didn’t need it as we were the only people in the restaurant. That in itself was kind of weird.
We order an appetizer called a lobster dip. It was ok. Other than the appetizer, we couldn’t finish any of our meal including the salads, because it was not tasty. Even the ice tea tasted weird.
The service was good, but we were the only ones in the dining room for most of the time we were there.
Big let down.
