Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after finding a parking spot about a half block away, not the most convenient parking situation but it was a nice day so not wholly inconvenient. It was busy but I got my order in pretty quickly and it was out in less than 10 min. I got a Matcha made with earl grey tea, ham & cheese quiche, key lime cheesecake, and lemon tart. The quiche I highly recommend. The key lime was really good but could have been a little more tart for my taste. I enjoyed the lemon tart but I think it looked better than it tasted, maybe a little too spongey on the inside for me. All were pretty tasty and I’d definitely return as they have a fantastic dessert selection.

We got lattes at Sift two mornings in a row since we were staying within walking distance at the Niantic Inn. The first morning our lattes were perfect! Plain hot lattes with whole milk. Perfect tempters and texture. The second day the lattes were so hot I burnt my tongue and throat on the first sip! My husband’s latte was mostly foam so the espresso/milk ratio was off making it not taste as good. Other than that the staff were very friendly and kind. The place was clean. Not a lot of seating inside tho. All the food looked delicious. I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t get my latte in a cup with the Sift logo. We asked about it on the second day and they said the yellow cups were from their original business and were trying to use them up. Made sense but was kind of sad about it.

Here’s a secret, I have NEVER eaten here. But I get stuff for my parents all the time (Mom LOVES their treats!). One day I’ll have to try it myself. Every visit is plesent and enjoyable. Parking in rear for those who are curious. Its a nice shop with nice people working there. Yuppie clientele. Their products are works of art from the baguettes to the pastries. Mom hasn’t had any complaints!

We had visited the Mystic location before and liked it, but long lines, tourist crowds, traffic, and parking issues deterred us from coming back. This Niantic/East Lyme location has a much different vibe.
The shop is smaller and more intimate and the service was excellent. The views of the water and horizon are spectacular.
There are a few tables inside and out.
The display of baked goods and sweets are eye catching, and we are happy to say that all the items we chose also tasted phenomenal.
We left with peanut butter cookies, a chocolate chip cookie, a four chocolate brownie, a magnificent and gorgeous pistachio croissant filled with
pistachio cream, and a rye and a sourdough bread.
Every item was fresh and so amazing.
We would highly recommend and plan to return often.
Limited parking.

The bakery and coffee shop was great ! I go here for breakfast when I am in area! My favorite place in the area. I had a smoked salmon croissant sandwich and a latte . Perfection. People were nice and young hipsters which is a cool vibe.

We visited Sift on a Friday morning and were met with a line stretching out to the sidewalk — a bit overwhelming at first, but we decided to stay, and I’m glad we did. The bakery offers a huge variety of pastries, and everything looked beautifully made. The coffee was also really good. The space inside is pretty small, but it has a cozy and welcoming vibe. If you’re in Niantic and don’t mind a short wait, it’s definitely worth a stop.

First time in, I was greeted so warmly, which, tbh, was a little surprising bc this place is so…posh(I’ve never used that word before, but it’s apt) and, warm, but with a very clean feeling. I had an Americano first time, second time a Toffee Nut Latte and an amazing Almond Croissant.
The coffee, both times was one of the very best I’ve had in a loooooong loong time, both times the drinks weren’t burnt or bitter, but that warm, caramelly round, rich brown flavor that I’m always hoping for but very seldom find. Tbh, I’d go there for the coffee alone. ☕️
Plus! They have really delicious flavor choices, like White Chocolate Pistachio , and others IDW mess up so om not going to try, but trust.
The Almond Croissant. Oh, Thee Almond Croissant. I’m not a poet, nor a painter, but this creation was so delicious that I felt I found my Muse. Like, it was so good ( could never) that I sat to eat this powdered sugar dusted slice of bliss outside, on an over cast windy day. Worth it. In case there is an artiste wanting to born from within, I’ll be visiting my muse again tomorrow…and the next day and the next. Hope to see you there ☕️ + =

This place is AMAZING. Some of the best pastries I have had. If you want a great, true croissant; this is the place. It’s cute and cozy so seating may be difficult, but the food is 100% worth it. Their coffee is hit or miss to me, but my bf LOVES it. He highly suggests their brown sugar bourbon!

Way less crowded than the mystic location. There is a parking lot behind the front entrance so you need to circle the block. The food was amazing. The ham and cheese croissant and chocolate croissant was the best I’ve ever had. The staff was very helpful and patient. It’s pretty small inside but plenty of tables outside with a view of the water. The prices are also very reasonable.

4.5.
Long line when I visited but moved quickly.
Great selection of baked goodies and sandwhiches if you Wang something heavier.
The chocolate chip cookie is really delicious!!!!
There is some indoor seating as well as a large patio.
There is also a really good lunch spot a few doors down if you’re wanting more sit-down fare.
Did not see a bathroom inside-
Maybe there was one out back?
