My friend treated me to Summer House for my birthday, and we were both so excited to try it, especially since she lives in Siesta Key. It was absolutely wonderful. We were seated immediately upon walking in, even without a reservation. Our server was so kind and sweet and immediately asked if we had any dietary restrictions. She also explained the menu in depth and made wonderful recommendations. The food was amazing, and the drinks were delicious. A 10/10 experience, highly recommend for anyone celebrating a birthday or special occasion. Loved it!

It was Christmas today and we stopped in hoping to get a table ( we didn’t make reservations) we were greeted kindly and the host got us a table right away. Our server Phil was amazing as well. The food was impeccable everyone tried something different we got lobster,filet mignon,potatoes au gratin,asparagus,lobster bisque,French onion soup,Ceaser salad and ended the night with the cheesecake. Everything was amazing quality fresh and definitely the best food we had on our entire week long trip in siesta key! The summer house is a must.

Summer House is a must try restaurant on Siesta Key and is something of a weekly splurge for us whether at a table or cocktails at the bar. Reservations are highly recommended as season is about to start. I added a pic of the new menu in photos. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and most accommodating. You’ll see people in here in casual attire from nice shorts and flip flops to sundresses, fancy dresses and slacks. Almost anything goes and people dress to their occasion. This place has an upbeat vibe and I’ve always felt welcome here.
This evening was Christmas dinner for us with a party of five. The service was impeccable as always. They have an extensive wine list and the bar has just about any kind of liquor you’d want. Most of us had steaks this evening and one had scallops all cooked to perfection. The wagyu top sirloin is typically what I order. The Austin Hope Cabernet paired well with everything and is a reasonable option as it is a liter bottle. The lobster Mac and cheese is a must try side dish. This evening the carrot cake stole the show. Everything was perfect and we left feeling grateful to have gotten reservations for Christmas dinner here.
Overall, must try items are the crab cake and lobscargo appetizers. The siesta wedge is great and shareable. I gravitate to the steaks, however the seafood dishes are very good and come with sides on the plate. With steaks the sides are à la carte. One side is more than enough for two people and you’ll likely even have leftovers. But good luck choosing just one as they are all delicious.
We returned in early January to see Noah who is one of a few of our favorite bartenders here. We love trying new cocktails he creates as well as the classics. This time we had the charcuterie board which was very good, but I’d like to see the chef bring the pate back.
And we went back again late January for cocktails. George and Grace can be found behind the bar often and not only make great cocktails but are very knowledgeable on liquor brands, ingredients used in the distilling process, regional information and their wines in general. Conversing with them and other locals hanging out is always a great time.
I feel fortunate to have such a great restaurant on the island!

I went to this restaurant last year and decided to invite some colleagues to join me for dinner there when I return to Sarasota. This place gets really busy so I highly recommend either making a reservation or going on the earlier side. They open at 4 PM. Our server was Joei and we had an amazing service. I recently became dairy free and they were able to make the halibut dish that I ordered without dairy. The oysters were fresh. There is a huge fish tank inside and it does get a little cold so bring a light jacket or coat. Come check this place out if you have a chance.

This has to be the BEST Sunday Brunch Buffet anywhere around. Every single item was prepared with expertise and with the highest quality ingredients. Standouts are the prime rib, prawn cocktail, snow crab legs, charcuterie, smoked salmon roses, crab cake bites (cold- but, so flavorful with a special aoli), flour less chocolate torte, croissants (sourced locally), jalapeño cheddar sausages, and believe it or not- the most amazing waffles I’ve ever had (crispy and sweet even on the buffet). Service was tip notch and personal. Delores took care of every need and even gave us tips for other activities and places to try. The manager was also very helpful in answering a couple questions we had. Overall, I told my wife, “We need to return here for dinner this week- that chef knows exactly what he is doing!”
