Siegfried’s in Sarasota is an absolute gem that immediately makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is wholesome, warm, and inviting, with a patio that feels like a hidden treasure. It is creative, cozy, and unlike anything else you will find in town. I went with my partner and a coworker who happens to be German, and the experience was even more special because my coworker could not stop smiling. He said it reminded him of a true home cooked meal back in Germany, which says a lot about the authenticity and care put into the food here.
The Wiener schnitzel with Jäger sauce was the star of the night. It was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with deep, savory flavor. We also ordered the pretzel, and it was one of the best I have had. It was soft, fresh, and clearly made with attention to detail. Everything was so good that we went back the very next night, and the second visit was just as memorable as the first.
What really elevates Siegfried’s is the personal touch. The owner came by to greet us and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Jason, our server, was attentive, friendly, and professional. Two nights in a row was not enough, and I cannot wait to return.

The schnitzel was soo good. Very light. Loved it. The cucumber salad was probably the best I’ve ever had at a German restaurant and the spaetzle was so fresh. Recommend for sure!

We started with the Bayrische Weisswurst mit Süßem Senf and pretzel — delicious and authentic. The lamb schnitzel and chicken schnitzel were both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Their mushroom sauce….. AMAZING! Great beer and wine selection, and finishing with an Underberg was the perfect touch.
Excellent service from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back!

What a gem of a restaurant! The food was excellent, and the Black Forest cake was absolutely amazing. Rodrigo, our server, was outstanding—so caring and incredibly patient with our large group. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of, and his friendly attitude made the whole experience even better. We truly appreciated the great service and delicious food. Where do I start with this review? As a chef for most of my career there are a handful of meals that I consider memorable. Yesterday evening at Siegfried’s was at the top of the list. Start with an absolutely amazing authentic vibe the second you walk in followed up by amazing service right out of the gate.
Then they bring out the food which was absolutely phenomenal, hands down the best schnitzel I have ever had, and it was served with a “large boot” of hefeweizen beer which was just as tasty.
Then we end the meal with a chat with the owner/head chef Renee who was one of nicest most humble individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting.
Everything about this restaurant will have me telling people I know to visit and will definitely have me going to back every time I am in town in Sarasota. Cannot say enough good things about this place.

We love this place. Food is great,always well prepared. Owner Renee is always a delight! The vibe is casual and a bit funky. We always feel comfortable and we often meet friends here for dinner. Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality and never seems expensive. Definitely recommend!

Great place right on Fruitville. Not a big place but cozy, with picnic tables for outside dining. Authentic German food, good tasting mustards and the schnitzels were perfectly cooked and breaded. The bratwurst and the sauerkraut was to die for and also don’t forget about that gigantic pretzel . Good selection of beer, got the small boot because I didn’t want my wife to give me the big boot! Haa… Can’t wait to be back .
