My husband and I decided to have dinner here, and unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to our expectations. We ordered the Lobster ($66) and the 16oz Prime Rib ($35). The lobster was small, chewy, and dry, while the prime rib was tough and difficult to eat—more like chewing on leather than steak. For the prices, we expected much better quality.

On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and very professional, which made the overall experience a bit more enjoyable despite the disappointing meal.

Walking Fremont Street, we’d heard alot about the Prime Rib in The El Cortez over the years and decided to try it (finally). Wasn’t too busy, seated quickly, and our waiter was at his best! Asked about the Prime Rib Special, it’s at $19.95 now, doesn’t come with a salad, so we shared one. Boy, were we surprised by the meal that was set in front of us….it was a massive cut of meat with the largest baked potato we’d ever seen! Even the waiter commented on how big the potato was! And talk about tender, you didn’t need a knife to cut it and was so flavorful. Needless to say, I wasn’t able to finish the meat because I wanted to finish the potato and veggies that were not soggy. Ended up taking the cut to make burritos the next day, yummy ! Our waiter was very attentive. This was a very positive experience and the food was delicious!

Docking one star. Last time I went the wings were overcooked/ tasted old. ——————

I’ve eaten here a couple of times after a night out. My fave is the wings and fries. Never really too busy late night but the servers have been great.

Was in Vegas for a conference society to try a little bit higher end restaurant for dinner… Overall, it was OK, the server was not very friendly and neither were the people that work at the front desk to check you in for a table. I ordered the pork chops, baked potato and asparagus, and it was weird because of one pork chops was really good and more. The other one didn’t have as much flavor. It was kind of dry. The baked potato was good and the asparagus was decent. Overall, the food was just kind of a little above average My server has zero personality and is not friendly whatsoever… And it’s not like they’re running around ragged, the place barely has anybody in here Probably won’t be back I’ll try other restaurants around the area, but the server was just not friendly at all Strange. Especially when you work for tips, you figure you would be friendly, even if you don’t mean it Right?

Today we have Loco Moko from s Single’s inside the El Cortez hotel and casino. We have been here many times and the service is always great in this place. The food is good, but sometimes it needs a little more attention because the cooks always seem to be busy and they are rushing the orders. Today I ordered Loco Moko, and it came out slightly cold, but when I called attention to the waitress, they quickly brought out some hot rice and extra gravy, which made everything much better.

Just had the Christmas Dinner special and it is so worth the money. Servings were massive and the food homemade. We opted for the salad, full turkey dinner with apple pie à la mode for dessert.

Had breakfast at Siegel’s at the El Cortez and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the Farm House Breakfast, and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, with staff being attentive, friendly, and quick without making the experience feel rushed.

It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are this good, especially at such a reasonable price. Definitely well worth it, and I’ll be coming back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend for a solid breakfast in downtown Vegas!

Love El Cortez and now a fan of Siegel’s 1941!
Christie was the kindest server, prompt and efficient and showed great care to me and her guests. I ordered the Prime Rib special at 11:30am and it was fresh and rare like I prefer. I couldn’t ask for a better cut with fantastic flavor and some of the best raw horseradish I’ve ever had. I will be back. Employer, If you’re reading this post and know the name of the raw horseradish brand, please share with me… I’d be forever grateful! Cheers!

Edit: Came again on 5/22 with my husband and Sarah was another great server who took unbelievable care of us. My prime rib was 100% amazing and my husbands rueben was all the hype. I can’t wait to come back to Vegas to see Sarah! Ask for her, she is friendly, caring and goes a step above for her guests. <3

We love this spot and visit often. Food is extremely affordable for Vegas pricing. Our service has always been great! This is a little upscale, but also casual place we recommend. Their prime rib is only a few bucks more (and quality much higher) than Tony Roma’s specials and here it is relaxing and no waiting around for hours to get in by their happy hour times. All around one of our favorite spots to eat on Fremont.

The worst restaurant experience we’ve ever had. 5 of us! Took forever to get seated with empty tables everywhere. Took a long time for everything. Put the food in front of the wrong people. Got a bill from the cashier because we were sick of waiting – she didn’t charge us for our $6.50 tea’s. The waitress came with another bill just then and said no you can’t have your tea’s for free because I’ll get in trouble. Whatever. We paid and got the heck out of there. Very poorly run!
