The sign on the door was for a cook. I’d have to agree. Have you had green beans straight from the can with the juice. Well if that’s how you like em, they have them here. Frozen chicken fried steak with instant potatoes and powdered gravy. Do yourself a favor and wait for the cook.

Clean. Friendly staff. The waitress, Stephanie?… I think that was her name was great. She never let us run out of anything and was always checking on us. The food was great home cooking type food. Apparently this place had changed owners over the last 6 months. I can’t tell you how it was before and I guess it doesn’t matter unless you tried this place in the past and didn’t like it. All we know is it is great now. We ate lunch and breakfast the next day there. The chicken fried chicken my wife had was good. Maybe not the best she has had but good. I had a hamburger steak and it was very good. Good side salads. For breakfast we had Mexican omelets and biscuits and gravy and they were great. We will return to eat there again when back in the area. It is the best restaurant option. We highly recommend it.

There were 2 waitresses and only 5 tables. We had to wait about 10 minutes to even get menus while our waitress made and delivered drinks. Our table was literally right next to where they make drinks. We were never offered any refills or even checked on once we got our food and the food was cold. We were planning on getting dessert but our waitress never came back once our food was delivered. I’ve never given a bad review or left without tipping as I’ve worked in restaurants and bars for several years but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had eating out.

My sister & I visited on July 6th before the Noel fireworks show. She had a chef salad which was huge! I had the special: Hamburger steak with a side salad & loaded baked potato. The service was excellent & the food tasted great. I have eaten in the restaurant once previously and have ordered take out on several occasions.

The food was excellent. The burger was fresh and hot. The onions were also fresh out of the fryer. The waitress was the only one working and handled her job duties well. My drink was refilled in a time fashion and my order was taken very quickly.

This is not a complaint, it’s a compliment. We stopped in today had never been there before, the waitress seated us and explained to us that there could be up to an hour wait for our food. They were very busy. We decided to stay and I’m so glad we did, I ordered a steak and that was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a very very long time. My husband ordered the fish and shrimp and loved it as well. The kitchen staff or some of the hardest working Cooks I have had the privilege of watching cook. And their waitresses did an amazing job, can’t say enough good things about this place. Would definitely drive the 45 miles again to eat there.
