While out of town for work, I was in the mood for Italian food, so I stopped in this restaurant. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted by the bartenders Donovan and Ryan. They both served me and were great. The restaurant was intimate and dimly lit. I started with rhe Appletini and it was delicious! I then had the pinot nior. For my meal I got the seafood fra diavolo and it too was good! I enjoyed the shrimp and clams mainly, but I could of done without the lobster. All in all, I did enjoy my experience.

The menu looks like it’s fine dining, but the food is subpar to say the least. Market price steak shouldn’t be 45$, it’s 30$ everywhere else. I choose to go with the linguine with clams. The clams were so rubbery and gritty like they came out of discounted can. The waitress said I can upcharge to a Caesar salad when they charged me full price with my dinner. When they did the math, they added 9$ out of nowhere and challenged them on their poor math skills. They fixed the bill because they knew how much the messed up on purpose or by accident. The entire experience was horrible. If you do eat there, make sure you do the simple addition and make sure the owner isn’t trying to scam you. That’s if you stomach the garbage they call food.

Sidel’s is my new favorite spot in Scranton! Everything is made to order by an amazing chef! She even catered to my gluten free needs. Our bartender Donovan made the most amazing cocktails, and our server Stephanie was extremely attentive and friendly! I would eat here everyday if I could. Stop by for the best dinner in town!

Tried this place on Friday evening around 7pm. We were seated quickly and given the low down on all the specials of the evening. We tried the Manicotti and the lobster fra Diablo. The Manicotti was excellent and full of flavor. The lobster had a great flavor but the seafood that was in it ( clams, lobster, shrimp) were overcooked to the point of hard bites. Our drinks ran dry twice during the evening and for that the tip was reflected. At the end of the meal when the waitress asked how our meal was we let her know of the dislike of the seafood and she took the plate to the back. When she returned she reduced the price of the lobster fra Diablo from $28.95 down to $16.95. in her statement she said that she couldn’t do any better without calling a manager. I had about 7 bites out of the entire plate and didn’t even get to take the rest home to pick out the seafood out of it. I was displeased with the service. The waitress tried to make amends with a piece of cake, and that was displeasing also. Sorry to say this was not the best experience with this establishment.

Food was old school classic Italian. Nothing to write home about, but generally good. It is a very homey restaurant with minimal decor but nice for an intimate evening for a date or with close friends.

Staff wasn’t knowledgeable about menu or drinks offerings. Menus were greasy. Wine list doesn’t include prices. I think they are overrated.

I randomly found this place. They said it was lobster night so that’s what I had! For an appetizer I had the fried green tomatoes topped with lump crab and remoulade. Then I had the lobster with crab on top. It was delicious. It also came with a salad and bread and butter. I would definitely go back when I’m in town again.

So happy to have found this place! There are few places to eat in this area that are knowledgable/accommodating to people with celiac disease. Food was 10/10. Highly recommend!
