we had a fantastic dinner. Chef Richard is amazing. You won’t find his creations anywhere else. When you are looking for an incredible experience this place is it. Christine is one of the best servers we ever had. They aim to please and everyone feels special.
Too expensive vs the quality and price in the food dishes.
Friday evening 7pm dinner
We were greeted and seated right away.
Bread and butter was provided while we waited. The bread slices were fresh and tasty.
We ordered the Lobster Fra Diablo and manicotti.
Each dish came with a salad. The salad wasn’t impressive; mostly iceberg salad mix with a piece of spinach and arugula on top to cover it, 3 olives, 1 slice of cucumber, 3 slices of radish, and a sliver of tomato. Oh! If you want ceasar dressing it’s an up charge too.
The manicotti was delicious, absolutely nothing to complain about there.
The Lobster Fra Diablo had great flavor BUT all the seafood (lobster, clams, and shrimp were so over cooked they were hard and rubbery).
Why so few stars? The waitress didn’t check in on us while we ate. When she came back with our check and to take our plates we advised of the over cooked seafood. She didn’t offer to have it remade or replaced with anything else and they didn’t remove it from the bill. Instead, they discounted the dish from $28.95 to $16.95. She said it’s all she could do “without making a phone call”.
She did provide a complimentary piece of cake. Which was a nice gesture but pretty disgusting (maybe we just don’t like whatever kind of sponge cake it was supposed to be?! The chocolate frosting tasted exactly like pillsbury chocolate frosting out of a can from the grocery store and the cake had an odd flavor.)
We were disappointed in our experience.
For the price we expected fantastic food all around.
Unfortunately we will probably stick with Olive Garden for this kind of food. Where prices are more reasonable and food is consistently good.

Food was horrible eggplant parm was cut too thick and was raw in the middle. My pork chop was over cooked and very dry.My father in laws scallops were cooked perfect though.Bar tender was nice but gave us Zinfandel instead of pinot noir and didn’t replace it with the correct bottle.Still looking for a good italian restaurant in scranton it was a shame I heard great things about this place.Service was great though and Brussel spouts were practically raw as well.Calamari was over cooked as well like elastic bands but on positive note butternut squash ravioli were very good!
I want to write in response to this review because I was at a table close by this person. First concerning the bottle of wine, the bartender tried to correct that and mentioned the label is similar to another brand. They chose not to change it and also ordered another bottle of the said mistake bottle. As the night went on she complained about the calamari or got my attention due to how loud she was., the server walked by with an empty plate which I assumed was from the calamari. When her dinner arrived is when she loudly complained about her eggplant and vegetables, I can’t speak on the quality of the eggplant parm but she complained so loudly when the what I believe was the floor manager came to speak to her she was very loud. I don’t know what the floor manager said but as she walked away the complainer said lousy I thought there was an old Italian cooking not some black guy. As I never write reviews I did so in this instance because I am a white gentleman married to an African American woman.
