We are a true family owned business. Chef Franco and his son Giuseppe have opened Sicilia Mia as a way to share their passion for Italian food with Utah. All of the Sicilia Mia locations offer traditional, home-cooked Italian dishes just like Nonna made it back in Italy. Our Holladay location was our first location and we take pride in providing a casual, friendly, family atmosphere. When you walk through our doors, we consider you part of the family.

This place is loud. Didn’t make a reservation but the wait wasn’t bad. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff but when the first comment my wife makes about her food (gnocchi) is, “I could probably make this better” something is wrong. I really like bread and the bruschetta was really good. The pesto pizza had a weird bologna on it. Don’t judge the description. Never said I was cultured…xD

Very impressed with the location, service, style of the restaurant, presentation (carbonara prepared in a cheese wheel in front of us), and especially with the quality and taste of the food! This is my fiancé and I’s new favorite restaurant! We came here for Valentine’s Day and got the Carbonara and 4 Cheese Gnocchi and we were in heaven! I would highly recommend this place to everyone and for every special occasion!

This is a difficult review as I (we) have been to other restaurants owned by this family. While the food was delicious the timing of entree to table was horrible, the panini was at least 20 minutes behind the gnocchi entree. The waiter couldn’t remember if we received our caprese appetizer order. We arrived early afternoon and the restaurant wasn’t busy, several diners I noticed were waiting for their bill. I also waited for my bill even after I gave them my credit card.

Ate here for lunch with my family to try it out as it came recommended. It was really good with some places for improvement. The warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is good that you get complimentary. Our server was nice and gave some recommendations on what to get which were good. We started with calamari which was good and the warm marinara sauce and is worth ordering again. My wife had the Casarecce e Funghi which was great tasting, but had no ham and was a little small portion wise. My son had the Cannelloni which was the best of our dishes. I had the 4 Staggioni pizza which was good but should have prosciutto instead of ham on it. The pizza came in four segmented topping sections instead of all together like a supreme I thought it would have been. Pizza sauce, cheese, and dough where all wonderful and the ham should be prosciutto to make it a better pizza. The olives are the sour/salty ones and not the normal black olives that you get on pizza from other places. For the price and what you get it is worth a visit as we will return and try some of their other dishes.

This place is upscale for sure but very well worth the price! The Italian soda was unlike any I have ever tasted, so delicious and creamy. The complimentary bread is warm and soft while still maintaining it’s crispy exterior. The ravioli is to die for! So creamy and flavorful you will wish for more than 4, even though you are too full for that. I did find room for the best cannoli I have ever tasted! Whack it the Italian way or pick it up and eat it. Just get this dessert. Definitely check this place out!
