Sichuan House’s Dumplings in Chili Sauce might be the single best dish I have had in Louisville.
Incredible spicy peanut sauce. 100% worth the drive down Preston Hwy.
The “American Chinese” menu is fine, but the Sichuan menu is better than anything on those first two pages.
Go for a family style meal with two or three dishes and rice to share for the table. It will feed 6-8 people.

We travelled from NYC to visit friends here. First thing we did was look for Asian food while we wait for our friend’s arrival. My daughter loves spicy food. The food was very good and authentic. Pleasantly surprised to find a Sichuan place here in Kentucky!

The sichuan dishes were so authentic. My family is extremely picky when it comes to Chinese food and Sichuan House was above expectations. The service was EXCELLENT. We even got to meet the owner and he was so kind. We can’t wait to go back soon.

The dumplings with chili oil are a huge hit for me. Delicious steam-fried dumplings tossed in a spicy, creamy chili aioli? Yes, please — and thank you.
The menu offers a wide array of options, but I’m a creature of habit and tend to stick with what I know. And what I know is this: a good dumpling and a great sauce.
The General Tso’s Chicken is another personal favorite, while my friends usually go for the yellow beef or one of the brisket bowls.
Everything is always fresh, consistently delicious, and the customer service is always on point.
Even though it’s local, I still have to drive pretty far out of my way to get here — but it’s absolutely worth it every time.
The parking is a little cumbersome. Other than that. I am always satisfied.

Highly recommend Sichuan House. We found this gem online and was highly impressed with the quality and authenticity of the food. They have an Americanized Chinese menu and a authentic Chinese menu. The chili oil dumplings have just the right amount of Sichuan chili pepper in it to make your tongue a little numb. Not overly spicy though. The cucumbers are a refreshing side dish to start with.
We got the beef and noodles and shredded beef dish, enough food for at least 3-4 people to enjoy. We will definetly be back.

Amazing food! They have an extensive menu with Sichuan cuisine and classic American-Chinese favorites. I had the orange chicken and my wife had the pork in garlic sauce. Both were fantastic. We also had the dumplings with chili oil, which was also really tasty. The service was fast and friendly. Very clean and inviting space.

My son loves the vegetarian options. The tofu is fried to perfection and sauces all delicious. I personally love the cashew chicken & fried rice. The egg drop and Wonton soups are always good and I like the egg rolls here which is not the case at majority of Chinese restaurants lately. The hot tea has a great taste and served at perfect temp. Waitress was friendly and that’s our general experience here. Carryout is always right but we like dining in cause comfortable & good service.

We stopped in for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. The small building is tucked between a strip mall and a vet office. The inside is tastefully done and very clean! “A’ rating from the health dept. These folks serve authentic Sichuan dishes and “American” Chinese food so there is something for everyone. The Sichuan dishes have the heat/spicy of the region. Also a variety of meats and vegetables. The server and owner were very helpful describing dishes. If you are up for something besides the typical Chinese food try Sichuan House!

Excellent authentic Chinese food. Szechuan spicy level and the fried chicken was massive in size.
Very good value and extremely good food. Would gladly come again for the chicken, pork, and dumplings!

We are in town for a funeral and staying in a hotel close by. My husband and I wanted a soothing, comforting meal and decided to google for a local Chinese spot, and saw the good reviews for Sichuan House. We walked in to a cozy atmosphere and ordered takeout: Chinese Kung Pao chicken, dumplings in chili oil, curry chicken, and lo mein.
I’m telling you right now, this was one of the best meals we’ve ever had anywhere. We are from Gwinnett county GA where there are many authentic Chinese options but this stood out.
Do yourself a favor and go here. Our souls needed these flavors and the comfort they brought. The service was wonderful and the folks were attentive and kind. We were in and out with fresh hot food.
Anytime in the future when we’re in the area we will absolutely be coming again.
