Best Sichuan place in Boston area, large seating area and located right next to Boston university. Tried their hot and sour soup it was decent, Chiangmai fish fry filets are amazing, loved it. Side order of rice is huge and is good for two. Loved the pickled cabbage and carrots in the beginning, would recommend for any one looking for Sichuan style food in Boston area

Servers were very courteous and food came out quickly. Everything was great! My fish dish wasn’t quite as spicy as I would’ve liked but the flavor was great and the fish itself was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Highly recommend.

It is an authentic Sichuan restaurant located a few steps from the subway stop. Very easy to spot. It is quite big, and very clean. The food was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. There’s a Teraa cotta soldier wearing jewelries and sunglasses at the door; that’s their Lost and Found!

The two chili dishes are labeled as “extremely spicy.” There is one three chili dish on the menu so you know what had to be done. Legitimately the spiciest non-gimmick dish I have ever eaten in my entire life but it was amazing if you like chitterling and pain. The beef and tendon appetizer was also wonderful.

I ordered the fried rice with beef as well as the egg drop soup and honestly both dishes tasted really bland. It needed salt and some spice. The fried rice barely had meat in it and servicr was a little slow as well.

We had the House Special Fried Rice. It was good. It was very very light and went down easy. I wish it was more spicy though. If you didn’t grab any chicken or shrimp in your fork, it might taste simply like white rice. It was dry and oily. Would recommend, 4/5.

Great place for Sichuan food. The restaurant is at a nice location on Beacon st. In Brookline, the staff are really nice and it’s not very expensive. Two people can enjoy a a full meal with appetizers for under 50 bucks.

Remains as one of most Favourite restaurants in Brookline. I was craving for lotus root and wantan on Sunday evening and Sichuan Gourmet delivered in an amazing way.
We ordered the spicy wantan in Szechuan chili sauce and the mixed vegetables savory pot.
The pick up order on the phone was incredibly easy and my food was prepared in record time. And when I picked up my food, the packing was very well thought of where the savory pot was in a foil container and a cardboard “coaster” to keep it from collapsing. Another thing I loved was the fact that there was not anything extra like chopsticks etc because why would you give me disposable wear when I don’t need it. This was very eco-conscious and thoughtful! Thank you!
Of course when we got home and had our food, everything was delicious and hit the spot on my cravings. It made me feel like I was home (Malaysia) again (especially with the wantan).
Thank you for remaining awesome on amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful packaging of my take out.

Very yummy Chinese restaurant! I had lunch there, and selected a lunch special – it came with one main dish plus 3 sides for you to choose: choose 1 soup, 1 side snack and main carb, fried rice vs steamed rice.
