Hole in the wall but this place might have the best deal in sgv. A whole spicy seabass or branzino cooked sichuan style and a mapo tofu for $39.99. Insane and comes with a big pot of rice. Service was very fast and they were very nice. Would highly recommend! The spicy fish was very good, full of cauliflower, woodear mushrooms and vermicelli noodles and potatoes. So much flavor!

I recently visited Sichuan 1 Restaurant (New Sichuan No.1) and had a really enjoyable dining experience. They are currently running a grilled fish promotion, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of the meal. The grilled fish was very flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned with authentic Sichuan spices. You can really taste the depth of flavor, with a nice balance of spice, aroma, and freshness.
Besides the grilled fish, we also tried several classic dishes, and everything was consistently good. The dry pot cabbage was especially impressive — simple but full of flavor, slightly spicy, fragrant, and cooked just right with a great texture. The Mapo Tofu was another standout dish. It had a rich, savory sauce with that signature Sichuan numbing spice, and the tofu was soft and smooth, soaking up all the flavor beautifully.
The overall portion sizes were generous, the food came out hot, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. The environment was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and efficient. This place is a great option if you’re craving authentic Sichuan food, whether for a casual meal or gathering with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes next time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real Sichuan flavors!

We celebrated my father-in-law’s 90th birthday here and had an amazing experience. The food was outstanding—every dish was full of flavor and you can really tell the chef cares about what they create. Really appreciate the owner for letting us bring our dog inside as well. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!

We discovered this amazing Sichuan restaurant by accident. Their bullfrog is so delicious. Other dishes we ordered like eggplant and Dongan chicken were great as well. Their food are very authentic but don’t worry if they are too spicy, they can adjust level of spicy per your request. The service was very thoughtful and warm. Definitely come back soon!

We went there yesterday, and surprisingly it wasn’t crowded. My dad ordered some very traditional dishes — wow, they were amazing! I think the restaurant is still in its soft-opening phase, which is probably why not many people know about it yet. The service was excellent. Highly recommended!

This place hasn’t been open for long, but wow — the food is so good! I’ve been here a few times already, and it’s always delicious and consistent. Among all the grilled fish places I’ve tried, this one really stands out — super tasty, fresh, and reasonably priced. The grilled fish with spicy tofu combo is insanely good! Perfect with rice — I always end up having two bowls. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re nearby!

The other dishes we ordered were pretty good, but why do you call these “wolf tooth potatoes” and “spicy chicken wings”?
