If I came back, I would have the appetizer shrimp dumpling steamed instead of fried but they were yummy.
They were open Christmas Eve and Christmas and we rush we had come here sooner. The service was prompt, the restaurant quiet, and the whole restaurant is understated but warm and welcoming. We ordered soup, Pad Thai, and the Square Garden which we highly recommend. Our little one is sensitive to spice and everything was free of spice yet still flavorful.
Siam Square is destination Thai in the heart of Great Barrington that should not be missed.
Amazing service by the owner family
Very attentive staff, even for takeout! Best way I’d describe the food is American-adjusted Thai food but made by people who clearly know how to do authentic tasty Thai flavors and do a great job with it. Thai spicy was not that spicy for people who like spicy food (from my perspective as someone who frequently eats Sichuan Chinese food in NYC/North Jersey), so feel free to order hot spicy flavors if you’re good with spicy heat. If I’m back in the area I’d definitely go back to sit down and eat.
The Thai beef teriyaki arrived after just about five minutes. It was coated in a blend of spicy seasonings, fried in thin strips, and served with a delicious Sriracha sauce. It had a nice crunch to it and the flavors blended nicely with the beef and sauce.
The main course was the drunken noodle, another spicy dish featuring stir-fried noodles, bamboo shoots, black soy sauce, and hot chili.
The flavors of both parts of the meal were perfect, with the flavors of the ingredients giving a good spicy kick without being overwhelming.
The prices for most of the entrees ranged between $12-24, so plan to spend a little here, but it’s well worth it. I’ll definitely be returning.
