Siam Noodles Salida

I’m generally not one to leave reviews, but the experience was amazing! Bright was the young man from Thailand, who patiently and kindly waited on us and his father cooked our meal as well as served it to us with a kind smile and a bow. I’ve eaten Vietnamese noodle bowls for a very long time as it is one of my favorites, but I was astounded at this dish! There were so many flavors and the presentation, especially with the fresh orchid was way over the top! Normally, this dish is a big pile of rice noodles with a bunch of vegetables and meat placed on top. This dish was a work of art as well as being flavorful and filling! The lemongrass chicken was perfect. My friend and I are area locals (Nathrop and Buena Vista) and we will definitely be back soon! The food was flavor-packed with exquisite presentation. The boat noodles were too salty for my taste, but the pad Thai was perfect and the table favorite. Our kids had a bowl of pho and loved it. The atmosphere is cozy. I understand the overwhelm of a large crowd as well as our big table, but an hour is too long to wait, so I’d probably return on a week night instead of a Friday night and see if the service improves. We were also a group of 8 which was bordering on too much for the smaller sized dining room.

We were outside looking at the menu to see if there was anything for our younger son. We wanted to try something new and this place looked great. The owner came out and helped us choose something. The little guy agreed to try the chicken satay.
He got his food fast because the owner got his order in quick. We also ordered the pork gyoza for an appetizer.
I ordered the Udon noodle pad Thai. My wife ordered the pork tonkatsu ramen, and older son ordered chicken tonkatsu spicy ramen.
We were all blown away. The food was fantastic. The little guy, who is very picky, really enjoyed the chicken. The service was very attentive and the workers all helped out.
The three adults in our group agreed that we will definitely be back.

Thuma and staff made our birthday celebration extra special! They are attentive, friendly and fun! The Udon noodles with chicken were the best we’ve ever had and the huge portions allowed us to take home the leftovers for Valentines Day dinner. Highly recommend Siam Noodles!! Will be back to see you soon!

We were just passing through on our way to another town, and on a cold day like this, all we wanted was a steaming bowl of noodles.
Then we stumbled upon this spot and wow, it did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was spot-on: great flavor, beautiful presentation, and super friendly service.
If we lived nearby, this would be our go-to spot. 100% recommend!

The peanut sauce and the Pad Thai were so good!! My partner ordered a vermicelli noodle salad (his regular elsewhere) and said it’s the best he has ever had. It was not busy at noon on a Saturday—but it should have been. There should be a line out the door.

Got dinner here on a solo NYE trip. They opened May 2025, and I’m so glad a quality Asian place exists in little ol Salida. Same owner as the nearby sushi spot. I got the Khao Soi Northern special, fried noodles in red curry with chicken. I’d never had it before; it was flavorful, rich, and excellent for a cold night. Generous portion (and I eat a lot).

The manager Thuma and the server (sadly forgot his name, it was pronounced like ‘bright’) were the real highlight — Thuma was doing everything in the restaurant but still found time to pour some house sake and drink with me (I sat at the bar). We got to talking well past closing, what a crazy life that brings people of such wildly different backgrounds together for even just a night.

I’m leaving this review because it’s such an excellent establishment with wonderful and genuine people who make great food, and I truly hope they succeed.

Husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday. Very cute atmosphere. Received tall glasses of water with lemon right away. We shared the Yaki Soba and eggroll. Plenty of food for the two of us. Vegetables were fresh and crisp, the noodles were delicious, and the sauce was scrumptious. The egg rolls were hot and crunchy. Overall, our experience was very good, and we will be back. The owner has lived here for three years and just loves Salida.

we came into town for a birthday trip and decided to come eat after a day of snowboarding. Thuma and the other employees went above and beyond to give us a great experience. they recommended many dishes and every thing we had was absolutely delicious. We will be moving here soon and will adding Siam to our list of favorite restaurants! We had ramen, pad Thai and other dishes and they were all very good!! Thank you Thuma!!!
