We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The food was decent, but the service was rushed and messy. We ordered mango chicken curry with spicy basil fried rice and pad kee. I ordered spice level two, but it was more like four, so I couldn’t really enjoy my food. However, my family loved their dishes. The floors were littered with food debris from the evening. The server was extremely busy and barely stopped by our table to take our order. It seemed like everyone was overworked.

Food was fine, but it is on the mild side in terms of spiciness. Go higher than you normally would. I chose medium and it was pretty mild. Outdoor seating is a great place to watch people walk by and enjoy a summertime breeze. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The New Zealand Chenin Blanc was pretty good. I chatted with a few locals and they all suggested coming here for Thai. I agree.

9/22/22: Went there on a lovely Monday afternoon while I was under the weather. The fried rice and the noodles were just so excellent! It made me feel much better afterwards. We asked the waitress about the sauces they used but they didn’t want to tell us the real sauce only generic names.

Whenever classes are doing icebreakers and asking about your favourite Bloomington restaurant, Siam House is always mentioned, usually multiple times, and for good reason. While a tad expensive, the food is delicious with decent portion sizes. The patio area is perfect for the summer and service is always excellent and efficient. With a table of three, you could easily be sat and get your food within 20min. I’m always craving Siam House and will miss it when I graduate

I was a bit disappointed with my meal here. I quite like Thai food, and I have heard good things about Siam House. Unfortunately the food wasn’t that great, it’s wasn’t bad either. The Spicy Basil Fried rice had a good flavor base, but it seemed as if it may have been slightly burned. The restaurant was extremely busy when I went, a drop of quality could be do that. I will need to go back to confirm.

After a bad expirence at different restaurant we came to Siam house. Tried crab Rangoon it was delicious, sweet Thai iced tea is great and must try. Also had spicy basil fried rice which is ok as this is my first Thai restaurant I was not used to this kind of sticky rice. Khao soi curry noodles with chicken is really awesome and flavorful with coconut taste, egg noodles and sprouts. Really liked the food.

This place is soo good and I tried this place again. This time I had crab Rangoon again as it is amazing and newly I tried calamari with Thai sweet sauce it’s good as well. Ordered the usual sweet Thai iced tea, which is all time favorite. For the main course, I had Thai green curry it is hot and spicy and I really loved it

Food is really good, service is not so good at times. Atmosphere is OK if you get a stable table, half the table we sit at wobble terribly. I ordered the volcano shrimp and paid for extra shrimp and only had 6. Went a second time and ordered same thing but got 11 shrimp.

The second place I went to when I first came to IU six years ago. Instantly became my go to place and treat yourself meal. Finally back on campus and had to make sure I went. Even on a Friday night, I was seated fairly quickly. Ordered the food and it came out in less than three minutes. The texture of the flat and wide noodles were perfect and the combination of carrots, corn, onions, and green beans provided a nice crunch. The chicken was juicy and everything was covered in the sauce. My only complaint was 4/5 spice was like a 1/5 for me. Other than that, it felt great to be back.

Best Massaman curry I have ever had! I ordered a 2 on 5 at scale. Barely had any spice but the flavor was omg delicious. Love the dishes and heart shaped rice. Very charming!

I had a wonderful time at Siam House! First, ask for Claret, she’s an amazing top-notch waitress! When you first walk in you’ll experience a well heated area, especially helpful during the Winter time. I was then immediately greeted by the staff and seated. The menu option was better than most restaurants I’ve been to because of the picture diagram relating to almost all meals. I’m a big eater so I’m always hesitant to try new meals, but boy was my fear quenched! The meals are huge here. The atmosphere is great and the local/crowd added to the positive environment. I highly recommend Siam House to those who enjoys ethnic cuisines or is curious about trying something new. Enjoy!
