The ambiance was warm, clean, and beautifully decorated with well-kept plants. But what truly stood out was the service—our waitress (Esmeralda) and the entire staff treated us with genuine kindness, respect, and smiles, making the experience even more special. It was such a welcoming atmosphere that our family felt comfortable having meaningful, life-affirming conversations over dinner, and end with big grins and giggles, as we meandered back to our car.
Well done—we’ll definitely be back!
Oh my goodness. Everything was so delicious!! I never finish my beans and my plate was clean.
The rice is great, the tortillas light and fluffy. The margaritas was the medium so I hope you are thirsty if you have one.
For dessert we had churros filled with white chocolate. This is the first time we have ever had a churros we enjoyed.
If you are in the front range area of Colorado, make sure you come to Si Seniors in Erie! You will not be disappointed. If I could rate them more than 5stars I would.
An hour after the promised delivery time my cameras pick up that there is someone on the porch, after the driver had waited 20 minutes, I walk out to three bags soaking in sauce and the boxes completely collapsed on each other.
As I start to unpack the food I can’t really make heads or tails of what has happened, it honestly looks like the food was juggled. Everything was like it has been turned on its side and the food was just piles of mess. The food has taken so long that the tacos had disintegrated, they had givens us four green chili containers instead of the dip sampler we ordered, they made the wrong chimichanga…everything had some sort of problem.
I called the restaurant and explained what had happened. The associate that answered said it wasn’t their fault if the driver made a mistake. I explained again that it wasn’t only the state of the food, which was still their responsibility, but the fact that three of the orders had significant problems. Once again I was told that it wasn’t their fault if a driver made a mistake. I yet again explained that it would be impossible for the driver to put the wrong ingredients in the order and that even though state of the food was an issue, I was more concerned about the errors. At this point she asked what I wanted for resolution, I said I wanted a refund, I was informed that would be impossible. I told her that really wasn’t acceptable and asked that she put the manager on.
The phone was then transferred to a male with less than cordial manners. I explained again what had happened, and we were back into the second round of this circle. At that point I just tell him that I will make the four block drive to show him the pictures of what I am talking about.
I get there and there is a man sitting at the front, he informs me he is the owner and who I had been talking to. I again start trying to go over what is going on, to which he stands up and yell at me to stop yelling at him. I tell him that I am not yelling that it’s my normal voice (I wasn’t yelling, I’m a teacher and just have a loud voice). I try to show him the photos at which he tries to grab my phone out of my hand. I tell him he needs to take his hands of my property and me at which point he sits back down. I place the phone on the counter and try to scroll through what had been delivered, and not been delivered. He refused to look down, and just stared me down. He then informs me that he already knows what went wrong, admitting fault, I’m like “great, what happened, and can we come to a resolution.” At which point he aggressively steps at me and tells me no, that I don’t want to hear it, and that I “don’t come in his house and tell him what to do.” Flabbergasted, I actually asked, “did you realize that you just physically threatened me by your actions, is that what you intended to do?” I think he did realize what he did because he sat down, and said the only resolution would be for me to drive back to my house, collect all the containers, and then bring them back to the restaurant. Completely floored I told him that would be impossible, that what was going to happen was that I would dispute the charge, and that I would make sure to let people know how he truly feels about loyal customers. He literally told me he didn’t care.
I couldn’t believe that some dips and a few mistakes on an order had turned into this. If this owner does this to a loyal customer…I can’t fathom what his priorities are. I truly believe in supporting local businesses, but only those that actually care about their customers.
