The menu covers an amazing amount of territory, and everything I’ve tried has been ungodly delicious. From the Hidden Treasures appetizer (prawns/shrimp, blue crab meat, coconut curry) to something as simple as the Garlic and Ginger fried rice (convinced this could be the answer to World Peace), one can appreciate that every dish was undoubtedly prepared with care and attention.
At the end of the meal, we were greeted by the executive chef, and I must say, she is the epitome of the American dream. Legend has it that Leonardo DiCapario and Keanu Reeves are regulars here – if it’s good enough for these guys, it’s good enough for me!
Whilst some restaurant cut corners, I admire that Si Laa has kept true to form in pushing the envelope for how Thai food should be served. 5/5
Y’all have a customer for life
if you are looking for the best Thai food in town , you just found it.
After trying most of the menu it’s really my best experience in Thai food. Even better the Lotus in Las Vegas
Not to forget the service that was lovely
had to order more food from somewhere else after.
We ordered the dumplings while I also ordered the short rib. Five dumplings are served which portion-wise, seem pretty small. Nevertheless, you have to love the spice and kick each one has. It has enough of a different taste to really intrigue you. The short rib was pretty amazing. The short rib itself melts in your mouth. Delicious. The green curry it comes in is also delicious and has a nice zest and spice. You have to also appreciate the pancakes it comes with. I do wish the portions were slightly bigger for the price you pay but the taste makes it worth it. They also have a variety of traditional Thai dishes like the pad see ew along with beer/Thai iced tea/wine and salads.
Parking is done on the street level. The decor is clean and simple and the servers are very kind.
Si Laa is highly recommended to any Thai fan and anyone seeking a slightly different Thai experience.
The menu is diverse and delicious. Though not listed on the lunch menu, the House Fried Rice is an excellent choice.
The service was friendly, fast, and consistent.
If the front parking lot is full, you will find more around back, so don’t be deterred.
