We had a great time at Si Cara tonight sitting at the bar for dinner. The staff were incredibly friendly and outgoing and the food was stellar. We started with the clams casino, shared an eggplant parm and potato and pesto pizza. Clams were delicious with a little dollop of sauce, the eggplant had great flavor and texture with a tangy sauce with just the right amount of chili flakes, the pizza was cooked perfectly with a nice doughy crust, and generous dollops of pesto, cheese, and potato. After all this I was honestly going to skip dessert but asked about the gelato flavors, I was immediately sold on the pistachio. Honestly this was two scoops of some great pistachio gelato. We are super glad that Si Cara is in our neighborhood and we are looking forward to our next visit!!

The dim lighting and chatter from the crowd makes this pizza spot all the more intimate and cozy. The pizza has a fluffy crust that can be enjoyed with the table side olive oil, parmesan, and chili flakes. The flavors really stood out, especially the pizza sauce and the charred crust. Shrimp scampi pizza really stood out to us and the lemon on top made it even more delicious. Oh and the tiramisu is amazing.

Went to Si Cara’s new location two days after open. The host, Faith, greeted me with a smile. My server, Alejandro, was attentive and gave great recommendations for menu options… we went with the margherita pizza & caesar salad and absolutely loved it! Will be back soon!!

We visited on their third day open and were seriously impressed. We started with the sprouts and garlic bread—yum. The sprouts were a little sweet for my taste, but still really good. The garlic bread, filled with melted butter, was ridiculous in the best way.
My husband and I split the squash pizza, and after the two appetizers we could only finish about half. It was so good—especially with the homemade red pepper flakes.
I honestly don’t even know how we managed the tiramisu after all that, but you have to get it.

Shared a cesar and margherita pizza. Both were delicious. Had a mocktail that was also tasty. The space is really cute and we enjoyed the vibe (you can tell they are going for the opposite of loco/lincoln/capo crowd–which is exactly what we were looking for). Our server, Luis, was great–super informative about the food and the space. We’ll be back. Always nice to have a casual place in the neighborhood where the food is actually good and the prices are reasonable.

Great spot in Southie — amazing bread, great vibes all around, and the staff are fantastic. You can really feel their food mantra of doing simple things well, and they absolutely nailed it. Everything feels thoughtful without being overcomplicated. So happy to have this in the neighborhood!

Came with my friend and her kids over the weekend. No reservation but they were still able to seat us fairly quickly. Host and wait staff were all extremely friendly and food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Food was awesome, pizza is top class and very unique. Chicken cutlet app was seriously amazing. Fried mozz and clams also very good. Place is cool, lounge has a great vibe to it. We really liked our meal.
Few critiques… No coat rack is tough (my wife wasn’t happy about sitting on her coat for 2 hours in the lounge), upstairs was cold and super drafty because the vestibule is being used as a hostess station with the restaurant door always open. Will be fine in warmer months but sitting at the bar waiting for our table we were definitely chilly. Water glasses weren’t 100% clean, then smelled a bit weird like there was cleaning solution still on them. Stools in the lounge area are tiny and objectively uncomfortable (tables on the right), paired with a really tiny table. It’s just a tough squeeze for real. They need some wine glasses, seriously. The whole minimalist deal with drinking wine out of a cup is just off. If they’re going for upscale Italian pizza joint, then let’s match the cups with the prices/vibe. Having a food runner come over and say “glass of wine?” …ain’t the ticket. It’s important the servers/runners know what wine they’re serving so we as customers know that we’re getting what we ordered.
Overall, we’d come back for the food, if they tighten some of this other stuff up they’ll have everything locked in. I would reccomend, I hate to nitpick but I feel like these are concerns the management team should hear out.
