Stopped by for a quick lunch. Agreed with other reviewers that the shrimp and grits were the best ever. The crab cake and hush puppies were delicious, and bread pudding was rich with a very generous portion. Liz, our server, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and the grilled potatoes she suggested was so good. Definitely will go back to try their oysters next time.

Food was absolutely amazing! The Rough Neck Oysters were my favorite maybe because something different since they had bacon and jalapeño, but the Rockefellers were just as good and huge compared to what we usually get. Also the Po’ Boy was the best I’ve ever hard. Highly, highly recommend!!!!!

My wife and I decided to try it out today, it was totally worth it! Tina our waitress was top tier/first class! We started out with the oyster sampler platter and AMAZING is an understatement! I ordered the flounder which is served over au gratin potatoes with a wonderful cream sauce and my wife ordered the fried fish which was cooked perfectly! We had to ask for a togo box so we weren’t going to order dessert, being the problem solver Tina (our waitress) is she said, ” I have a togo box for desserts too”! So we elected to take home some of the famous bread pudding

We’ve eaten here 3 times in a couple months. It’s just that good. The fried shrimp is my go-to, but after tasting Mom’s creamy, garlicky shrimp and grits last week, that’s what I’m ordering next time. We’ve eaten all over the US, and I’ve never had shrimp and grits that flavorful and bowl-licking good. We didn’t, but it was tempting. You can even watch them shuck and grill fresh oysters! Hubby always eats a different variation of chargrilled oysters and has loved every one of them. He hosts business lunches here. In an area that boasts some of the best food in the country, that says a lot. The service is fantastic and ambience is perfect. Plenty of room to get Mom’s walker through the dining room. Ample parking is deceiving. When the lot is full, you’ll still get seated quickly. Don’t miss Shucks!

Myself and two others dined here on a Monday night around 7pm . We did not make a reservation beforehand but were seated immediately. ⭐️Joleen⭐️ was our phenomenal server! She was seriously so kind and we had such a nice time talking with her. She helped me decide what to get by telling me her favorites- she was right about how good the potato sides were . We had the crab dip appetizer. It was creamy and flavorful, the toast was buttery and crisp. I got a dozen raw oysters,as well. They were very fresh and tasty . We got the grilled jumbo shrimp with the side potatoes. We also got the traditional chargrilled oysters with garlic butter, romano and parmesan cheese. Everything was delicious!They have a fun atmosphere and lots of screens if you want to catch a game. There restrooms are also very clean which is always nice. 10/10 Get you a sweet tea and ask for Joleen!

I visited this place since I like seafood and never been. The food took about 35 minutes to come out, kitchen was backed up, but our server was attentive during the wait, so it wasn’t too bad. My drink was 90% Tito’s and a hint of peach, lol it was ok. Gator bites were tender, remoulade tasted like potato salad ingredients, fried platter wasn’t anything special but the fillet was delicious! Veggies, roasted potatoes and stacker were all just ok. I would have liked more flavor in the food or using the SHUCKS breading on all the fried items. Dfinitely expected more since they specialize in seafood; it was fresh seafood and came out hot so I can’t complain there. I enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

First time here…FANTASTIC! They have my favorite beer (Ghost in the Machine) on tap, the chicken & sausage gumbo is excellent (properly served with rice AND potato salad) and one of the best fried shrimp Po Boys I’ve ever had (packed with massive, tasty and tender shrimp). I’ll be back for sure!

2nd trip – Had the 15 assorted oysters, DELICIOUS! Hush puppies were the best we have ever eaten as an appetizer.
3rd trip – Had honey drissled over salman and sweet potato fries. I Charbroiled oysters, too.
4th trip – Broiled catfish were the best I have ever eaten anywhere. Shrimp & grits were the best, too.
5th trip – Broiled fish again for me! Charbroiled oysters & hush puppies for Dee.
6th Trip – We had Tina as our waitress. She was really great on her knowledge of the menu. She could also handle my abuse and was always quick with a funny comeback. Food was excellent, we had fried shrimp and oysters. Bought me a bright orange shirt in Westlake school colors to wear on my job when going to the schools.

For an appetizer we had the onion rings which were crispy but lacked in flavor. We both had the chicken sausage gumbo that had 5 pieces of sausage and NO chicken as you can see in the picture. It was also very thin and water like and lacked in flavor. In many parts of Louisiana people will make roux-less / thin gumbo but usually reserved for seafood and is packed with meat. My partner ate the added rice and her 5 pieces of sausage and left the bowl half full of liquid. First time visitor and this experience will make it hard to return after be served a chicken and sausage gumbo without any chicken in the dish. Too many other options available in the area.

Exterior and surroundings were good. I ordered a dozen raw oysters and a Shucked Margarita. The drink was good and was mixed with Hornitos. The oysters were clean and a decent size. They also have outdoor seating on the bayou side. I would go back and try more food. Service was also good.
