I went to Shucks Oyster Bar with a group of friends and we had a really enjoyable night overall. I tried my very first oyster shot, and our server was fantastic at helping me choose one that would be beginner-friendly. The oyster came with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and a lemon wedge, and the cocktail sauce in particular was extra good. We shared the crab guacamole, which unfortunately wasn’t a hit for me. It contains large chunks of jalapeño, and biting into one was a pretty harsh surprise–I really teared up from the heat. That may be a bonus for spice lovers, but it was painful and off-putting for me. In fairness, I should have read the ingredients more closely before ordering. For my meal, I had the lobster mushrooms and the crab cake appetizers as dinner. The crab cake was mostly crab (always a win) and very tasty. I also ordered the Moscato sangria, which was light, easy to drink, and came with plenty of fruit slices. The atmosphere made for a fun, relaxed evening with friends. Overall, a great spot, especially if you enjoy seafood and oysters.

I visited this restaurant a few times as the food was incredible! Not only was the food at multiple locations delicious, the freshness of the food was wonderful. The staff was friendly, went above and beyond, and the plating was good. All the food eaten was just tasty and delicious. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here several times and always enjoy the food! Their seafood is always fresh. The lobster bisque is the best in the city and the ciabatta bread with it is heavenly. Their New England clam chowder is also great (also the best in the city!) Today I got a lobster roll to go and it did not disappoint. I could eat a thousand of these and never get tired!

Shucks has the best seafood in town. Not pictured but recommend is to also go during happy hour and grab their peel’n’eat shrimp and catfish bites. Pictured below is the go-to salmon.

I’ll be honest I like the downtown shucks better but that’s just the difference between west Omaha and downtown. Omaha is a big city and the west is like a whole other small town. That said they catered to the west side fantastically.
What shucks does best is make awesome fresh fish dishes and po’boys and is always great in customer service. Love all shucks and the “Fresh Fish” company who honestly has the freshest fish around. When I managed a sushi restaurant they were the only supplier we used and that’s a whole different game. Keep that in mind when people say Nebraska fish being landlocked 2 times is an issue. We actually do have fresh fish and usually get it before Chicago does in the chain of distribution.
Please try these guys out and all of their locations too. Find your fit but shucks is by far the best seafood spots in town to a very large degree.

Absolutely my favorite place to eat in Omaha now. And they had an amazing male server that pit the experience over the top with a delicious key lime cheesecake I believe. He was 10/10. Highly recommend the $1.50 each oysters on Thursdays.

Ventured back to try a few more things on the menu. The crab stuffed flounder and Mahi shrimp kebab special was good. Was disappointed with the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Only received 4 small ones and they were overcooked. Probably should have sent them back, but chalked it up as a lesson not to order them next time. Otherwise, great service and atmosphere.

Came here on a recommendation and was not really impressed. Locals seemed to like it but it was okay. 2.50 for That bread was a rip off. They messed up one order and one was eaten before the other showed up correctly. Offered no adjustments for their mistake.
Also no military or veterans discount! Guess they don’t value those are serving or have served our country!

We had a large group of people and they accommodated us fine. Tip for the husbands……I got the chicken alfredo. Which was awesome. But guys, your lady will not understand why you would get chicken in a seafood place. AND she ask you that same question 6 times over the next few days. So just be warned.
