Take out Chinese. I grab some take out for lunch occasionally. One of the better Chinese food take out locations in the Charleston area. Menu item preparation are not always standard and depending on who is cooking. They are quick, not overly friendly (don’t take it personal), decent quality and decent price. The staff is not very thankful for the business and really don’t seem happy to be there. The food is pretty good for the price. Restaurant and food could be absolutely amazing if the staff and owner wanted it to be.

The food quality has DIMINISHED completely! Imagine being sick and come in for some simply Hot & Sour Soup and they only had 1 piece of tofu. Asked 4x for extra spicy and did not fulfill that request either. Not the 1x either-but DEFINITELY MY LAST!

Everything we have ordered here in multiple visits has been very good. There are many similar restaurants around Charleston but nothing compares to the flavor and consistency of this place. It’s family run and they are very nice. We have never had a bad experience here. The sesame beef is so flavorful and tender. The wonton soup is very close to what you would get in NY. You can easy in at a few tables or take out and they also deliver.

I attempted to call in my order for pick up and was hung up on. No biggie maybe they couldn’t hear me. I called again and after hearing her take an order at the register and I’m saying hello to get her attention I was hung up on again.

I made my way over anyway, walked in, not only am I not greeted but ignored as the girl was in her phone instead of taking my order. I waited more than enough time to be noticed and kindly walked out. The service sucks and the staff seems to be rude. I went to Jersey Mikes and had a way better experience.

I’m sure I’ll get a response back from the owner how they are sorry for the bad experience and how disappointed they are with their staff and how they’ll make it better.

Very unprofessional, eating customer orders within 5 minutes of pickup window after they ordered online and says they’re closed due to not enough staff but have 5 employees in the kitchen. Having customers drive 20 minutes away to pickup an order instead of updating their website and online ordering system to reflect appropriate business hours is bad business!

Grant “Granted Honestly” Grant

The food is subpar and doesn’t stand out from other Chinese food restaurants. The Shuang Xi Kitchen doesn’t hold up well considering that it’s located in North Charleston we’re their are PLENTY of other restaurants to choose. They need better consistency and customer service.
