Shu DaXia’s hotpot was a surprising hit and my friends actually prefer it to Liuyishou or Qiao Lin now. The main reason is that they offer a vegetarian version of the spicy Sichuan pepper broth, which the other places didn’t have, I really enjoyed the Shiitake chicken broth as well. The crispy fried pork appetizer was delicious, and I loved that the restaurant felt clean and had a coat check. It wasn’t too crowded when we went, which made the whole experience even better.
The meats were cheaper priced to the other hotpot restaurants in Boston which was nice.

I visited Shudaxia Hotpot in Richmond Hill and had a great experience! They currently have a Lucky Spin Wheel promo going on where every table gets one spin after you follow their Instagram and like their event post. It’s a guaranteed win, so you’re sure to walk away with something.
The hotpot was delicious, with fresh ingredients and really flavourful broth. The atmosphere is beautiful. Love the traditional Chinese décor and all the lanterns give the whole place a warm, festive feel. There’s also good spacing between the tables, so even when it’s busy, you still get a comfortable sense of privacy while enjoying your meal.
The service was friendly, and overall it’s a fun and relaxing place to eat, especially with the added excitement of the spin wheel.

The service is great, very responsive and aware of our needs. The soup base had a lot of ingredients which gave it a deep flavor. We highly recommend the shrimp paste to anyone wanting to order from the signature options.

Had a great time here! The broth was super flavorful (the spicy one is a must-try), and all the ingredients were fresh. Service was friendly and fast, and the sauce bar had lots of good options. Prices are fair for the quality. Perfect spot to come with friends for hotpot—I’ll definitely be back!

Shu Daxia’s hotpot was surprisingly good. We had the signature spicy along with the tomato broth. One thing we really liked was that the broths were available in vegetarian options as well. And the crispy pork was the highlight of the menu. Would definitely recommend trying Shu Daxia out.

Had an amazing time at Shu Da Xia Hotpot in Boston! The ingredients were super fresh and the portions generous. The broth was flavorful, rich, and authentic, with just the right balance of spice. Service was attentive and friendly — the staff kept refilling the soup quickly and made sure we had everything we needed. The space is clean, bright, and comfortable, perfect for gathering with friends. Honestly one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve had in the US. Definitely coming back!
