We had a long drive and we wanted something hot and delicious. The food was so delicious. And the price was great. We had Mapu tofu, kun pao chicken, spicy noodle, twice cook pork, Lo Mein. All the food was super good.

Great soups and ur usual greasy stir fry Chinese. But the setting is solid and service is great! Enjoyable experience, nonetheless.

All the food we ordered are super good. This is a very authentic Chinese restaurant, you can find super tasty dishes here.
People here are very nice, provided a welcoming atmosphere.
Please give it a try if you are looking for real Chinese food.

The spicy sour cucumber is haunting and fresh with tang and heat. Pea shoots were also fresh with garlic and ginger, not oily. Plaza parking, easy access. Very nice owners who were perfectly attentive.
Update: still really interesting and delicious. Nice atmosphere and good service. We had spicy tofu, dry fried green beans, Chinese yam. The Chinese yam is crunchy almost like water chestnut not like orange yam.

I really hate to leave a bad review of a small locally owned restaurant, but I need to. This restaurant was one of the few open on a holiday evening. Their staffing was ridiculously low. It took a LONG time to get questions about the menu answered and then another long time to order. Our ordering was interrupted by her having to leave to take care of take out customers.
There were no alcoholic drinks available as there was no bartender working.
The menu is very extensive and has more of what I would call “authentic” Chinese dishes. There is even an “American Chinese food” section of the menu. The food was all good and plenty of choices for vegetarian/vegans. The shrimp and mixed vegetables contained a lot of fresh vegetables and not the usual canned mushrooms and a limited amount of vegetables.
Our table was never checked on, water not refilled, and the check took a LONG time as well.
To be fair, we should give it another try but in my mind if you are open on a holiday, you should be staffed to give proper service on a holiday.

Very disappointed. I was expecting somewhat authentic Sichuan cuisine. I got the twice cooked pork “extra spicy” and it hardly had any spice at all. It would be one star spice at a Thai restaurant, and it was just chili spice, not a hint of numbing Sichuan peppercorn. The flavor was not bad – very salty and mainly a fermented black bean flavor. The waitress was terrible – I think I barely got 30 seconds of face time with her. She never checked on me once and didn’t even bring a glass of water to go with the salty food. After I was done eating I had to stare for about five minutes until she finally caught my eye and brought me the check. And I can’t remember ever ordering hot tea at a Chinese restaurant and not being given a pot. She gave me a cup of hot water and a teabag! When I’m in the area I’ll stick with Ala Shanghai and Hu’s House, both excellent places.

Best Authentic Chinese Food Ever!!! The smoked tea duck was heaven and the veggie Mei fun noodles was awesome. The wonton soup has a nice ginger flavor infused in the broth, my palate was singing. Everyone needs to order from here ASAP!!

I had my first dining experience with Shu Restaurant with a delivery. It was definitely among the best Chinese I have had in The Capital District and I have been here 20 years.
As a NYC kid I have had some of the best in the world. This was close. Real hot & sour soup. The kung pao chicken was perfectly spiced. The gyoza appetizer was as good as they get.
If you enjoy spicy dishes there is no need for “extra spicy.” This was great!
Everything was hot and super fresh. My compliments to the Chef.

The spicy tofu fish was AMAZING; however, the sticky rice cake was not good as before. The Sichuan food there was pretty much one of the best around the Albany area.
