Delicious little shrimp pita pocket, with a great homemade sauce of some sort. I wish they had a dedicated kids menu, but the lady was super nice to help us figure out something for our 5-year-old (6 shrimp add-on, and she gave us some extra fries in our regular meals). We were some of the only folks there on a Saturday night, but a few more trickled in. They also fry the shrimp fresh upon order, so that was a huge plus. I’d definitely go back again for another pita pocket!

This was my first time here. I had the mullet dinner and my husband had the catfish. It was made to order so it was fresh and hot when we got it. The clerk who took our order was friendlyand the owner came out to greet us.

My husband and I ate lunch at Shrimp Stop for the first time on 9/9/22 and we had a great experience. The food was well seasoned and fried golden brown. We both ate from this fish and shrimp box and still had some food leftover. Staff was welcoming. We were very satisfied with our service. We’re already planning our next visit.

This was my first time dining here. I was very impressed with the friendly, efficient service. The food was brought to me fresh and hot. The breading on the shrimp was heavier than I prefer but the lady then told me that they have a lighter flour breading or grilled options available. The only reason I gave a four star rating is because they had no tarter sauce and I believe all seafood restaurants should offer tarter sauce as a staple.

Just good! The best shrimp pocket I’ve had in years. This pocket brings back memories lol. It’s good food and fresh. The staff are so nice and the location is good. I ate here 3 times last week. I know, that’s not frugal of me but I just had to have it this time. Always consistent. Thank you. Keep them coming!

I ordered a jumbo shrimp with fries and two hush puppies and a red velvet cake slice with a Coke through doordash. I received everything but the red velvet cake but in place of the cake I was given five shrimp and a small container. I have tried to call y’all several times today but no one answered no one will pick up poor service. The hush puppies with dry and hard but the shrimp was good in the tartar sauce was good. I know y’all are busy but let’s be a little bit more professional and respond because when people pay their money for service they expect service let’s be professional

This was my first time coming to this establishment. Let me tell you the drive-thru took way too long for the order. After a long wait I received my shrimp pocket snack. Shrimp stuffed inside of pita bread french fries and two hush puppies.
The shrimp pocket was dripping with tartar sauce. It’s like they poured the whole bottle on it. And the fries were cold. Trust me I will never go to this place again.

I am only writing this to share my experience and in hopes that the lovely lady who owns it will make better choices.
I went their in the this week and ordered Mullet. I was excited as that is one of my go to options for seafood, even out of season if fresh. Unfortunately it was not fresh at all and in fact was at least 3-4 days old. I am very picky about my seafood (clear eyes only at Mike’s Seafood) and was hoping this nice Southside spot where Henry’s used to be would do the trick. Not this time.
Again the lady there was lovely and knew how to cook the fish but they took the risk and gave me old seafood. It wasn’t quite spoiled but not far from it. Also the hush puppies were uneventful and not much flavor and gummy. Everything else was fine like the place itself.
I ask that you make better choices and people will return. I will not be back until I know the food is better quality.
I wish them the best.
