In these past 43 years we have had many guests visiting our fine city from across the U.S. who tell us they wished they had found Shrimp ‘N Stuff the first day they arrived and assured us they will be back several times before they leave Galveston. The downtown location does offer many of the favorite Shrimp ‘N Stuff “standbys,” but this particular restaurant truly does have an identity all of its own. We have differentiated ourselves ,from the original Shrimp N Stuff, by serving broiled version of Snapper, Flounder, Salmon, and several other fish. We are also the only restaurant on the Strand to offer seafood and non-seafood breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays morning from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm!

Food was delicious. I had the grilled fish tacos. Comes with 3 tacos on corn torrtillas, I ate one before I took my picture. Loaded with a full tilapia filet, a good amount of shredded cabbage and a delicious chipotle sauce. Served with a great corn and black bean salsa.
My Daughter had the fried shrimp po’boy with french fries. she thoroughly enjoyed it and the fries were really good.

Such a great local place for some seafood.
Ordered a few dishes. Everything that came out was great. Kids both loved it. The Po Boy was on point. Family enjoyed the pasta we got.

Staff nice, attentive, good vibes.
I ordered blackened salmon tacos which was amazing, 3 tacos and they were huge! My husband ordered chicken fried steak and enjoyed his as well. When we come back to visit we will be coming back!

If you are reading this review, go to Shrimp and Stuff immediately! My family and I have eaten at many of the local restaurants during our trip in Galveston, and we all agreed that this was the best.
We ordered appetizers of coconut shrimp and crab balls. Both delicious!
My husband ordered fried shrimp that came with hush puppies and fries. One of my daughters ordered a bowl of shrimp gumbo, and the other had chicken fried chicken served with mashed potatoes. The gumbo was on point. I was really impressed with how good the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes were.
I’m so glad that I ordered the grilled shrimp. The shrimp had a decadent butter sauce on them. The rice and veggies accompanied the shrimp nicely. The veggies appeared to have been fresh, not previously frozen, and they were cooked to a perfect al dente.
Finally, don’t miss out on the bread pudding. What a way to finish the meal!

I gave 4 stars for atmosphere only because it was a little loud.

This place was recommended by a local resident that frequently visits and it didn’t disappoint! There were several things that i tried that I enjoyed, both pictured and not pictured (Cajun pasta, calamari, fish, fried claws & brownie)
Kisha was super friendly, helpful, accommodating and had great recommendations.
The brownie was the only thing that I would alter during my next visit- I can definitely do without the blackberry sauce.
Directions were complicated being that I’m not familiar to the area to get here using the GPS because it kept directing me to the wrong location, since online there isn’t a distinction that says Shrimp N Stuff Downtown. I used maps on my iPhone.

First time in Galveston Texas and had to experience Shrimp and Stuff. From the Oleander Hotel it was an 11 minute walk in 90° weather and I was determined to go and it was worth it. I ordered takeout seafood platter $25 and side salad $3.99 delicious. Hefty serving 1 catfish, 7 shrimp (2 wrapped in bacon and fries. The atmosphere felt family oriented. Top notch service with a smile .

We stumbled on this place when we were looking for somewhere to eat that did not have a long wait. This place was my favorite place we ate while we were visiting the coast! The server was very nice. The woman that served us our food was so friendly, we really enjoyed visiting with her. The food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and then shared that as our meal so we could try a little of everything. We started with the crab claws off of the happy hour menu. They were so good. The butter you dipped them in was amazing. Then we had the besitos. These were our favorites. (I am going to try to make them when we get back home. ). We also tried the fried crawdads. They were also delicious. We also had a salad with raspberry and mango dressing. Everything was so good! Make sure you visit this establishment while you are in. Galveston.

i’m giving a strong 4.7 rounding up to a 5. really inviting and kind staff, gooood food, especially for the reasonable prices. hush puppies were comforting, salad was especially fresh, and the gumbo was well balanced, just added some to hot sauce so make it perfect for me.
