I was in the area for work and heard alot abt this place so gave it a try. Apparently it’s a fave local spot and I love mom and pop type places. I met it simple and got the fried chicken lunch. It was fried to perfection but nothing overly special for me to hype it up. Don’t get me wrong it was good, but nothing made it stand out. There are plenty other menu options works to back for which I plan to do.

Had high hopes for this place, the portions were decent. But the taste of the food was not so great. It taste like the cooking oil needed to be changed. All my fried food was dark and didn’t taste too well. If they changed the oil than this place would be a lot better. The dining room smelled like sewage…. Not sure if the bathrooms needed to be repaired or not. Will not be coming back here again.

The College disc Golf team loves to come out here they just walked in here one day. They told the Oregon team that the Shrimp Boat was amazing in 2024 and there whole team went. Eli and I had never had shrimp boat so it was an experience.

Forget the fact that I wasted over an hour just to get old food. I’m very upset that I wasted my money and time. When I first received my food after waiting 30 minutes, everything was cold and the fries were soggy and cold and I made a special request to have everything cooked fresh. I came back in to return the food and the lady told me half the staff have been out sick with the flu and that They got fresh chicken coming up right now. But no fresh pork chops. OK I gave them another chance and I took the chicken that she gave me only to get to the Car and find out that the chicken was not fresh. They just dropped it back in the grease. It was overly cooked. It was burnt. It was not juicy. It was not fresh. It was disgusting and I will never return. What a waste of time and a waste of money after being a customer for 25 years, they will never get a dollar from me ever again if you enjoy old chicken old fries n cold pork chop sandwiches and poor service This is a place that you would want to visit. Do better Shrimp boat. Highly disappointed.

I’ve been going here most of my life and lately unless I’ve got a hour to kill (for a call in) I can’t come here. Waiting over 50 minutes for a call in the last 3 times I’ve been is wild, especially when they claim 15-20 it will be ready. I hope it gets back right bc the food is still good.

Got 2 wing combos, one 4pc/6pc. The only thing that was freshly cooked was the fries, all 10 wings were cold and you can see in the photo how the hush puppies were. Burned and very hard. Not to mention, I waited about 30 mins for this poorly prepared meal. If I gotta wait that long for food, everything should be hot!

Had the captain dinner and half chicken plate.
My companion had been there before and noticed something was missing. The captain’s plate comes with shrimp.
The restaurant was quick to investigate and resolve the matter. I appreciate the way it was handled.
The seasoning of the food was ok. The chicken was moist. The fish was flaky and juicy
The women’s room floor was sticky but otherwise clean. The men’s restroom was clean
I’ll go back.

I ordered a porkchop dinner and I did not enjoy it. I can say they did cook me two other pieces to try to satisfy me. However, I was still dissatisfied. Please make sure the grease is hot before dropping any meat in the grease.
