It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

We got there real early, very quiet, nice music on the sound system. I ordered the shrimp po’boy meal and I think it would have been great if I could have put my condiments on it. I gave them a small test and they were good. I know if I could have that po’boy dressed it would have been awesome. The Gulf shrimp would have been good, too with just a little more seasoning. This was our second visit and possibly not our last while traveling this highway

Absolutely Delicious!
I stopped by the Shrimp Basket in Evergreen, AL and tried their shrimp and grits — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had! The shrimp were perfectly seasoned, and the grits were creamy and flavorful with just the right texture. You can really taste the freshness and southern comfort in every bite. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was quick. If you’re ever passing through Evergreen, this spot is a must-try! This location was easy to get to right off the interstate. It was clean with ample parking. We called our order in to pick up as we passed through and the lady was extremely friendly and took my order even so close to closing time which I was so grateful for after driving so long on hwy 84 with nowhere to stop with children. The food was delicious! Will definitely be stopping again when driving through so we can sit down to eat.

The firecracker fries were delicious! I still think about it all the time. And it’s been over a month.
The shrimp was breaded although not as crispy as I would have liked and tossed in a sweet but spicy creamy sauce. The cheese and added sauces were yummy, and the fries were crispy and had their own seasoning. The added corn though was a surprise and I could have done without it.
The chicken tenders were too dry and the breading wasn’t ready crispy, despite looking crispy. The flavor was middle of the road for basic chicken tenders.
The other people with me said the shrimp was good and they also enjoyed the regular fries.
I would definitely recommend the firecracker fries or the boom boom shrimp I think it was called that’s on the loaded fries?
I would be happy to stop here for those firecracker fries if I ever pass through that area again.

I visited this restaurant on my way back to GA. Let me tell you…it is everything! Everyone was really nice, the food was the bomb and the sweet had that down south flavor. I love that the Kitchen Manager, Sean, took the time to greet everyone and say thank you for coming. This will always be a spot I stop at o. My way to Alabama or back to Georgia!

They used to have some awesome coleslaw when I went there with my brother Chad it was horrible had no little baby shrimps in it it was horrible but the waitress was cool had good company and my brother that is a trucker and he came through yay God is good totally wish you would get your coleslaw back on point

Amber took excellent care of Tim, myself and our service animal Naomi! We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner! Tim ate the popcorn shrimp meal. I ate the Smoked Mahi dip with toast points and small bowl of Shrimp Etufe . Wish I had gotten a large bowl because it was very delicious of the Shrimp Etufe. We will return and visit this place again! Thank you! More people should eat here since the food is so tasty!!!
