It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

I had a great dining experience at Shrimp Basket, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back—perfect for a casual meal where you still want quality food and great service.
The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The shrimp were perfectly cooked—not overdone at all—and well seasoned. Portions were generous, and everything came out quickly despite the restaurant being busy. You can tell they take pride in consistency and quality, which really makes a difference.
What truly made the experience stand out, though, was our server Michael. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He checked on us just the right amount, made great recommendations, and kept our drinks refilled without us ever having to ask. His positive attitude and professionalism really elevated the entire meal and made us feel genuinely taken care of.
Overall, Shrimp Basket is a solid choice for anyone craving seafood done right, and if you’re lucky enough to have Michael as your server, you’re in for an even better experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Service was good, but that’s about all. I had the steamed shrimp basket and it had next to no flavor. I couldn’t even eat the corn and potatoes..overcooked and bland. My husband had the shrimp po’ boy with fries and it was okay. We probably won’t return next time we’re in the area.

A few years ago my daughter and I discovered Navarre Beach and fell in love with the area. We started a tradition of vacationing there every January for her birthday. One of the places we discovered was this location of The Shrimp Basket. Honestly the first time we ate here we had no idea that it was a chain. We thought it was just a local hangout. It is always a priority for us to have her birthday dinner at your location. We have never been disappointed with anything. Service is always top notch. Food is incredible and served quickly at a reasonable price. For anyone in the Navarre area I highly recommend this spot for a great meal in a great atmosphere. Thanks for always treating us so well. See you again next January!

Meal- shrimp fries (oh so good and fresh! Fish and shrimp basket too! Again fresh and hot!
Kids- fish and beans and rice. Fresh, hot and flavorful!

Angie was my server and she was amazing! My family and I were visiting for vacation and she made our lunch so special. She gave great recommendations. Y’all’s drinks are fantastic. I’m not usually a hushpuppy fan but Angie recommended them and I actually really enjoyed them. 10/10 would come again! 10/10 would request Angie again. Loved her!!

The Server Patience was Amazing! Very sweet and pretty with a southern accent. She made us feel very-welcomed from the begging. Patience checked on us throughout our stay. I don’t do review’s but it was a must I acknowledge her hospitality. Request her to be your server and she will treat you right. Food was also good!

First time visiting Navarre with the family and we stopped in for dinner. The atmosphere is a whole vibe. Definitely beach town seafood shrimp shack. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Alex was our server and was so helpful with the menu and recommendations. Super attentive and anticipated our needs. Portions are INCREDIBLY generous for the price and everything was delicious. We’d love to come back in the summer when the beach is bustling and are definitely coming back to the Shrimp Basket

Everything is great! The grilled shrimp combo was scrumptious as they were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The cheese grits were smooth and you can really taste the cheddar. Okra was perfectly crisp and light. And the Mango in the shrimp tacos made for a wonderful flavor contrast. All in all highly recommend. Layla guided us right and was super nice. We will be visiting again.

Still one of my favorite seafood restaurants, and I always enjoy the atmosphere there. The service was excellent as well, Angie was patient with me even when I was being indecisive about what I wanted to order. The kitchen did a splendid job with the food! I’ll definitely be coming back!
