It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

Our server was absolutely fabulous! We shared the Seafood Basket (included Fried Shrimp, Popcorn Shrimp, Fried Oysters, Fried Whitefish, Hush puppies, stuffed crab, shrimp cole slaw and french fries) and there was more than enough for the 3 of us to get completely full. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. Our server came back and checked on us frequently. He refilled our waters and brought the check at the right time. Food was VERY well priced for the amount and quality.

1st time here, got the seafood boil. We got medium heat, garlic butter. They forgot the corn and melted butter. When they brought us some they only gave us 2 pieces of corn. I was not a fan of the sausage they use. The other food was good and there was plenty for 2 people.

We arrived and was seated promptly, Josh came over introduced himself then explained some particulars about the restaurant and the menu. He ask us for a drink order, he returned with the drinks, he asks us if we decided on food, and then explained what we get with our choices. We chose the popcorn shrimp combo. When the food server (not Josh) came out with our food she brought only a small basket of popcorn shrimp, I was thinking that the fries would follow, but when Josh came out with the REAL order I explained the surprise and thinking that was expensive popcorn shrimp. So the joke was on us, whew. You see the small basket in the pic… we already consumed some of it.

My family and I had an awesome experience here yesterday! Our server was Trinity, which I was so very grateful for. Having small children can be really difficult to eat out, but Trinity made our time out a great one! She was attentive, always kept our drinks filled, and was really fun to chat with. The food was delicious, but the great service put our experience over the top! We will be stopping in again!

Arrived @about 6pm on Thursday. Didn’t have to wait to be seated. Restaurant filled up shortly after we ordered. Sarah waited on us. She checked on us throughout entire meal. Order was exactly what we ordered and was prepared as ordered. We had appetizer “boom boom shrimp”. Very good and quantity perfect. I had delicious coconut shrimp & my spouse has Cajun flounder which was delicious s well. Everyone was friendly as they cleared empty plates as they walked by serving others. Again Sarah was very sure we had anything else we wanted or needed and she was very friendly. I found out she had only been there a short time. “You’d never know she was new by her attention to every little thing that made our dinner enjoyable and I will certainly return to this Shrimp Basket again when I come to Navarre. I suggest you. Give it a try in Navarre, Florida as it’s worth the trip.

Shrimp Basket was right across the street from our campground, so made for a quick easy meal. But hot dang, the food and service were wonderful! I would eat here again before waiting in line for two hours at those fancy places. The Crawfish Po Boy was massive and delicious. Christine our waitress was wonderful. Great recommendations on the beer, and made sure our kids were taken care of. We’ll be back several more times during our trip!
