It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

This was one of our 1st stops while on our Christmas Vacation to Panama City Beach & we WERE BLOWN AWAY about the quality of the food, the portion sizes, speediness of service & the friendliness of & menu recommendations by our waitress Tammy. We told her we were visiting from out of town & she we gave us great suggestions & SHE DIDNT DISAPPOINT. My Wife ordered the Seafood combination basket (flounder, fried oysters, fries, stuffed crab claw, hushpuppies & corn fritter) I ordered the Seafood Basket with shrimp & flounder. This restaurant was a GREAT WAY TO START off our winter vacation. Next time we’re in PCB. This restaurant is DEFINITELY A MUST VISIT AGAIN!!!

Visiting from Indiana. We chose to eat here based on a recommendation at the pool today…so glad we listened!
The service was great from the moment we walked in the door!
Appetizer: fried pickles. Some of the best we’ve ever had!
Meals: Coconut shrimp, Popcorn shrimp, Cheeseburger….all excellent!
Sides: get the fried okra. You won’t regret it!
Angela was our waitress….top notch!
Darby, the manager, checked in on us, too.
The atmosphere was a cozy, family-friendly, mom & pop kind of feel.
Thanks, Shrimp Basket…this was our best meal in PCB!

It was the middle of the day and I was hungry, looking for something to eat. Deep down I knew that I needed some shrimp tacos, with a side of rice and beans because who can deny that combo..? The waitress took my order and within 12 minutes I was sinking my teeth into some fresh fish tacos and some beans and rice that were straight . A Diet Coke for good measure, and that was all she wrote. The shrimp basket delivered. I kept it shrimple, and so should you.

Been coming to PCB for over 20 years and finally tried Shrimp Basket. So glad we did. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Decent priced, laid back atmosphere and our server, Suzy was amazing. She was warm, friendly and learned she’s from our home state and she did an awesome job taking care of us. Definitely give them a try and be sure to ask for Suzy to take care of you.

Great, clean and welcoming! The service in the employees were very, very nice. We recommended highly and the seafood is so fresh specially Tuesday 79 ct oysters all you can eat gulf shrimp.
Whitney the assistant manager is fabulous!! We so enjoyed her her! Beautiful inside and out Austin the chef for our day was incredible he listen to our taste pallet and fixed everything to perfection!!! Thank you to all who made our first time a definite repeat er !

Stopped in for a few oysters and was greeted by a very friendly and helpful server. Great Margarita and Bloody Mary to start, 1/2 doz oysters ( perfect), then coconut shrimp and flounder platter. Everything hot and tasty. Thanks Angela, can’t wait to come back….. if you’re there. ; )

Food was so good we ate it before I could take a photo of it. We got a lot of food for cheap, the waitress was so nice and recommended me and my friends from out of town, a great Florida meal! Loved Abby!

Very cool inside so we asked to be outside when it was offered. I asked to set at a table in the sun and the waitress refused because it needed cleaned. Unfortunately a group took the table before the cleaning was done so we stayed at a table in the shady breeze on a 65° day. My husband ordered Gumbo which was delicious but delivered 10 minutes before my son and I got our meal. Which left him finished before we even started. I asked for cocktail sauce and received none which made my dry flounder undesirable . So no I was not a satisfied customer. Would of liked our $76.00 to be a little better spent.
