The food was very flavorful and well made.
The service was good overall and the staff was very accommodating of everyone’s dietary needs.
I would recommend ordering everything at once and it does take longer for certain menu items.
Overall experience was good.
Could do better if the place had better ambiance and the noise from the kitchen was loud and distracting.

I had a wonderful experience at Masala Cafe Restaurant. The food was really delicious and full of authentic flavors. Every dish was fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. The service was also very good — the staff were polite, friendly, and attentive.
The climate and ambience of the restaurant are very pleasant and comfortable. It has a nice atmosphere to relax and enjoy your meal with family or friends. Everything from food to service and environment was excellent.
Highly recommended place to visit!

I tried the Idly Vada combo, Kaldoda, and noodles, and the entire meal was absolutely satisfying. The idly and kaldosa tasted just like a home‑cooked meal, and the noodles were a bit spicy but still very flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back with my friends.

We ordered Tava Fish fry, Boneless Chicken Biryani, Dindigul Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani, Shrimp Sattii Soru, Jigarthanda.
Everything was good, but lacked the rich flavor we enjoyed on our previous visit. Service was friendly, but there was a delay when requesting extra raita—by the time they responded (saying it would be chargeable), we had already finished eating but it would have helped if this was communicated earlier.

Thankfully, the staff were polite and made up for it with complimentary filter coffee, which we appreciated.

Variety and good menu. Liked the chicken fry. Not a big fan of the korma. The dosa is very nice and crispy. Taste of south India and north. The chutneys with dosa and sambar is very good.

Caught me completely by surprise. For a restaurant claiming to be south-Indian, they need to NAIL a few signature dishes. My score board below:

Chicken 65 – was dry as it should be and tender white meat. Slightly high on the breading and this is authentic for this dish. Server dusted with some spice and every piece was good. 5 stars.

Dosa – the masala filling spice was on point. The coconut chutney was superb. The batter showed hints of fermentation – perfect.

Cafe special chicken – same as the 65 but slightly different flavor and the sesame sprinkle was a nice touch.

Biriyani – we only had the Mughalai version but the fact they offer a thalapakatti version with the right distinction earns them points in my opinion.

Chettinad chicken and parotta – did not try but also another signature litmus test for South Indian cuisine. Points for offering this option.

Service was polite and very attentive. Ambience was very good.

Went for dinner tonight — the food was good as usual. We ordered the biryani and malai kofta, and both were flavorful and well-prepared.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the service. My partner and I dined together, yet the server directed every single interaction exclusively toward him. He looked only at my male partner while taking the order, asked only him how the food was, and when it was time to pay, despite me clearly holding my card in my hand, handed the bill to him.
Being treated as invisible at my own table is disrespectful and insulting. Whether this stems from lack of training or deeply ingrained patriarchal bias, it has no place in a professional setting. In 2026, there is absolutely no excuse for ignoring a woman simply because she is dining with a man.
Extremely disappointing. Management needs to seriously address this.

I was just passing through mass and stopped here for lunch on a Friday. I ordered the goat biryani which was the best I’ve had. The mango lassi was delicious and perfectly took the edge off the medium spiciness of the dish. It was so good I ordered a takeout meal to take home .

The service was chill—they didn’t mind us being a bit loud—and the food came out steaming hot. It’s not one of those “tiny portion” places either; we all left feeling absolutely stuffed.
If you’re trying to impress a date or just want to feast with the homies, this is the move. 10/10, would definitely smash again.
